He was born in Nicosia 1955. He graduated in 1980 from the Athens National<br />
Polytechnic as a Mining and Metallurgy Engineer. He completed post graduate studies in<br />
Petroleum Engineering and was honored in 1982 with Masters of Engineerng Degree<br />
from Heriot Watt University UK.<br />
He started his carrier in oil industry 1982 as a drilling engineer in the Public Petroleum<br />
Corporation of Greece. Held various positions in the company as Head of Drilling and<br />
Production Testing departments. Later on in Public Petroleum Corporation –<br />
Exploration and Exploitation of Hydrocarbons (DEP-EKY) took over as Technical<br />
Support Manager, responsible for all Drilling and Seismic crews, IT and Civil Engineering<br />
services. During the merger that established Hellenic Petroleum SA, he was E&P HSE<br />
Officer and in 2005 he took over in Libya, the representation of Hellenic in a Joint<br />
Venture with Australian Woodside Energy and Repsol under a Libyan Exploration and<br />
Production Sharing Agreement (EPSA 3). In addition he acted as a Country Manager<br />
until Hellenic sold their Libyan assets in 2008.<br />
He is now based in Athens as Operations Manager for all Hellenic’s E&P assets.<br />
