PREssuRE REDuciNg VAlVE • EN-DRV 2 Application: • The pressure reducing valve EN-DRV is designed for water systems. The device reduces and stabilizes automatically the outlet pressure at the set value. It effectively prevents damages that can be caused by pressure increase. The pressure reducing valve EN-DRV reduces the water consumption. • Medium : water. Working principle : pressure adjusting knob upstream downstream Without flow : The spring, in relation with the size of the diaphragm, helps the downstream pressure to push the diaphragm upwards. The obturator is closed. The pressure is maintained at the calibrated value. With flow : The force of the diaphragm operates against the force of the adjustment spring. The strength of the spring moves downwards the obturator, allowing the water to pass. If the outlet pressure and therefore diaphragm force fall because water is drawn, the greater force of the spring causes the opening of the valve. Features and benefits: - The balancing principle: EN-DRV range is based on the balancing of two opposing forces: ➪ the strength of the inlet pressure towards the closing of the seat, and on the top of the piston, ➪ the equal surface area of the upper side of the piston and for the obturator. Compensated seats With this principle of compensated seats, the set pressure is maintained constant, even when there is an important inlet pressure fluctuation. - The pressure set is maintained at a constant level: • over-pressure damages are avoided, • lower flow noises in the installation, • water consumption is reduced.
PREssuRE REDuciNg VAlVE • EN-DRV - Outlet pressure indicator: The pressure reducing valve EN-DRV is equipped with an outlet pressure indicator (see fig. 1) that displays the set pressure. These 2 set point scales are located on each side of the valve, so that the pressure indicator is always visible. As a result, an additional pressure gauge is not fully necessary. Figure 1 Preadjustement 3 - European standard EN 1567: The EN-DRV pressure reducers fully comply with the requirements of the new European Standard EN1567. EN 1567 - Acoustic performances: Low noise approved Up to size 1”1/4 - Group 1 without limitations - The modular cartridge construction: • complete cartridge with diaphragm and valve seat • fine filter mesh 0,71 mm • high quality synthetic material • can be fully exchanged without using special tools • all synthetic parts getting in contact with water are approved and made in non-stick materials • this minimizes the limescale deposit - Wide product range: The product range is split into three distinct categories : • EN-DRV: pre-adjustable reducer, with pressure gauge connection, and fine filter on the cartridge (mesh size 0,71mm). • EN-DRV/R: features similar to EN-DRV but with a brass cap (without set point scale). • EN-DRV/F: features similar to EN-DRV but with an inspectable filter of high capacity inside a synthetic clear bowl.
