You have spent time doing the groundwork with your members. You<br />

have carried out initial research into the negotiating issues, appropriate<br />

laws and regulations etc. You have put forward your demands and your<br />

opponent has agreed to negotiate with you.<br />

Before you get down to the detailed negotiations planning, don’t forget<br />

to report to members on progress. You will also need to do more<br />

detailed research to support your case in the negotiations, and to help<br />

you plan your strategy and tactics.<br />
