Christianity Explored
We are planning an important event slated to begin at the end of March. It
is a seminar entitled, “Christianity Explored.” This seminar provides individuals
who do not know Jesus the opportunity to gain an understanding of who
Jesus is, what Christianity is all about, and how to make a faith commitment
to become a follower of Christ. This is not a seminar oriented toward those
who have already made a faith commitment.
I am very excited about this seminar! Truth be told, we don’t have any way to
gauge what the response will be. This is a new kind of venture for our church
family. But, what an opportunity!
I ask you to do three things as the beginning date (March 28, 2007) approaches.
First of all, pray. Would you commit to praying for this venture Pray for those
who are planning, leading out and, especially, for those who will be attending.
Pray that God will bless us.
Secondly, invite a friend. There may be a neighbor or a family member or a
colleague at work that doesn’t know Jesus. This is an excellent way to give
them that opportunity. The setting will be interactive, there will be no pressure,
and it will allow for questions and discussion.
Finally, we would certainly welcome your financial support. If you wish to support
this outreach, mark your tithe/offering envelope, “Christianity Explored.”

In a closely related vein, our sermon today focuses on the disciple named
Andrew. We don’t typically give much time or attention to Andrew. That is
unfortunate for, as many have pointed out, Andrew deserves our attention—especially
based on what he does in the Gospel of John.
So, take your Bibles, open them to John’s Gospel, and let’s consider what
Andrew did…

Watson of Loma Linda Florist has
recently lost both of his parents. His
father died in late November, and his
mother died in early January. Her
services were held on January 12
in Ontario.

to dialogue with both denominational

Spiritual Care in the Clinical
Setting: Many who want to better
meet their patients’ spiritual needs
have been meeting monthly to learn
effective approaches. The next session

study and Bible study will examine
the topic “Helping Your Patient to

Digging Deeper Bible Study begins
Tuesday, February 13, in Fellowship
Hall. This nine-week study of Ruth
will be exciting and life-changing as
you discover confident, independent
study of God’s word utilizing new,
easy-to-use, inductive and devotional

those small, hotel toiletries and don’t
know what to do with your collection,
please give them to ACTS. We pass

Sing for Africa! a free benefit concert
sponsored by students of the LLU
School of Public Health to raise funds
for a sanitation project in Nigeria, will
be held January 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the
Campus Hill Church.
LLU School of Dentistry’s “Clinic
With a Heart” will be held Sunday,
January 28. Registration will be from
6:30–9:30 a.m. Dental treatment
will be provided on a first-come,
first-served basis. A limited number
of patients will be seen and will be
provided with either a free cleaning,
filling, or extraction. No crowns or
root canal treatments will be given.
Children will be treated only with a
parent/legal guardian present. No
