Taper Tie<br />
The 1" to 1-1/4" taper tie system is a versatile forming<br />
system which is completely reusable, no expandable parts<br />
are left behind in the hardened concrete. Features quick<br />
assembly and fast stripping. Feed-through installation<br />
permits both side forms to be in place before ties are<br />
installed. Available in various lengths with 1-1/4"diameter x<br />
10" exterior coil thread on the larger end with 1" diameter<br />
x 6" coil thread on the small end. Use with bearing washer<br />
and cast wing nut. Taper Ties should be coated with a<br />
white lithium grease before inserting into form and should<br />
be removed with a wrench. SWL 34,000 lbs.<br />

X-Plug<br />
A mechanical plug specifically designed to seal the<br />
void formed in a concrete wall by the removal of a<br />
tie rod. The X-Plug is easily engaged into the tie rod<br />
void during ALL climates. With its mechanical design,<br />
tightening of the metal nut causes an expansion of the<br />
plug, increasing its diameter inside the tie rod void. This<br />
action simultaneously compresses the main body plug<br />
onto the bolt to create a seal between the plug and<br />
the wall of the tie rod void. Designed to install at 50%<br />
of wall thickness for varying tie sizes. Can also be set<br />
for shallow depth plug placement. Able to be installed<br />
interior/exterior or retro-fitted to repair leaks. Can also<br />
be utilized as backing for grouting.<br />

Step 1: Clear tie hole of all<br />
loose debris. Taper tie brush<br />
is available upon request.<br />
Step 2: Check plug<br />
engagement, making<br />
sure plug is slightly less<br />
in size than void. Minor<br />
adjustments can be made<br />
by simply tightening nut for<br />
shallow depth placement.<br />
Step 3: Attach deep well<br />
socket and extension onto<br />
nut. Place plug at desired<br />
depth or specification.<br />
FULLY TIGHTEN NUT.<br />
Step 4: Once nut has been<br />
fully tightened pull socket/<br />
extension out of void. THAT'S<br />
IT! Move on to the next void<br />
and repeat. Fill with grout if<br />
needed.<br />

Sure Plug<br />
The sure plug is easily pushed into a hole the specified<br />
depth by using the insertion tool. Pushing against the<br />
bottom of the blind center hole of the plug forces the<br />
plug's oversize body to elongate as it enters the hole.<br />
When the pushing force is stopped, the plug elastically<br />
returns towards its original diameter creating a high radial<br />
pressure against the walls of the hole. As the plug is gray<br />
colored to blend with concrete, it may be positioned flush<br />
with the concrete face, or recessed, depending on the<br />
architectural effect desired. When recessed, the sure plugs<br />
may also serve as backing for flush or recessed grouting.<br />
