Jody Anderson’s season with painting began in the year 2000 when she was inspired to pick up a paintbrush<br />
for the first time. She found great delight in the laying down of color on a canvas and began exploring<br />
the works she has now come to greatly admire of Vermeer, Zorn and Sorolla. Their intentional purpose<br />
and apparent command of color placed a burning desire in her soul to work alongside the hearts of those<br />
brilliant Masters.<br />
Jody works in oil and enjoys an array of subjects including still life, landscape and figurative work. Studying<br />
the transition of warm and cool light on the turn of a face or the delicate shift of light on a restful hand<br />
moves her spirit and easily translates to her still life work. As a lover of the outdoors, Jody also finds herself<br />
occasionally plein air painting and especially enjoys the camaraderie of joining other artists as they capture<br />
nature at its finest. With her passion for the arts, and her desire to evolve; she is grateful for the guidance<br />
from the talented minds surrounding her and feels blessed to be given the opportunity of this journey.<br />
