ideal way to install a cost
effective lightweight green
roof without the expense of
employing specialist trades
and complicated layers of
build-up. Simply lay the fully
established sedum modules
on to your waterproof surface
for a satisfying long term
green roof.
Self-Install
can be installed without previous horticultural or
professional experience, no training needed.
Lightweight
the green roof modules can be easily lifted and located by
one person.
Pre-grown
is delivered on pallets fully established, for an instant
green roof.
No irrigation
the roof will retain 75% of rain water and will not require an
irrigation system.
4-in-one system
all the requirements for a green roof in one living module.
Modular
can be easily lifted for maintenance purposes; the
individual modules provide great flexibility.
Media
the media mix used is a special
recycled substrate prepared
specifically for the ‘InstaGrufe’
system.
Vegetation
consists of a mixture of sedums, but can
also have Wild Flowers and Grasses added
which can be indigenous to the location of
the project.
Filter layer
performs the following roles –
water retention and distribution,
root anchor layer for the planting.
Module
Made from 100% Regenerated Polypropylene
(PP), and performs the following roles: a
water reservoir, drainage layer, protection
from excessive drying of roots from the
airspace below.

The pre-planted modules are laid directly on to the fleece covered roof area
• Filter pollutants and carbon dioxide out of the air
which helps lower disease rates such as asthma.
• Help to insulate a building for sound; the soil helps
to block lower frequencies and the plants block
higher frequencies.
• With green roofs, water is stored by the substrate
and then taken up by the plants from where it is
returned to the atmosphere through transpiration
and evaporation.

A pebble margin can be applied for that finishing touch
• Green roofs not only retain rainwater, but also
moderate the temperature of the water and act as
natural filters for any of the water that happens to
run off.
