Hampshire Careers Service
We deliver a high-quality, well-established and
successful careers education, information,
advice and guidance (CEIAG) service to schools
and colleges, and have proven expertise and
experience of working with schools, colleges,
young people, and local and national employers.
We offer a wide range of choice through our
bronze, silver, gold and ‘plus’ careers service
packages which can be customised to meet
your requirements. In addition, we offer a
personal development service and a tailor-made
careers service for special schools. Bespoke
packages can be negotiated.
Service features
The following are included as part of the service:
l CEIAG is comprehensive and relevant, working
with businesses, training providers and higher
education establishments
l advisers regularly meet with employers and have
expert knowledge of local and national labour
markets
l access to an exclusive online resource with
careers and qualification software, a CV creator
and local vacancy bulletins
l a licence to support schools/colleges in gaining
Investor in Careers - the quality standard for
CEIAG
l schools/colleges are involved in the selection,
development and continued appraisal of their
careers adviser
l CEIAG training is available for school/college
staff during INSET days
l an annual careers conference and network
meetings for schools/colleges with training
providers and other organisations to discuss
CEIAG developments and share best practice
l we are working towards the matrix standard
– a quality standard to access and measure
careers services
l advisers are supported in their continued
professional development and are trained, or
working towards, Level 6 CEIAG qualifications
and other courses relevant to their role
l CEIAG is embedded within and complements
the curriculum, working with Hampshire
Information and Advisory Service (HIAS)
inspectors.

and the National Institute for Careers,
Education and Counselling.
