The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) will take the lead to organize a Singapore Pavilion for companies to participate at<br />

MyanBuild <strong>2013</strong> at <strong>Tatmadaw</strong> <strong>Hall</strong>, <strong>Yangon</strong>, <strong>Myanmar</strong> from <strong>26</strong> to <strong>28</strong> <strong>November</strong> <strong>2013</strong>.<br />

Why Participate<br />

Supported by the <strong>Myanmar</strong> Construction Entrepreneurs Association and the <strong>Myanmar</strong> Engineering Society, MyanBuild <strong>2013</strong> is a<br />

‘business-to-business’ event that is expected to attract over 5,000 trade buyers and decision makers including architects, developers,<br />

consultants, contractors, engineers and designers.<br />

<strong>Myanmar</strong> is the most exciting market in Southeast Asia currently as the Government continues with its reform policy. According to the<br />

Asian Development Bank, the country’s GDP is poised to grow by 8.6% to 2030 spurred on by its huge resources. Investments are<br />

already flowing in and demand for new commercial, industrial and residential properties has incited a new wave of construction. In<br />

addition, infrastructure development projects are also underway.<br />

MyanBuild <strong>2013</strong> - the International Building & Construction Industry Exhibition & Conference is designed to provide technology,<br />

equipment and material suppliers the platform to access these new exciting opportunities.<br />

Financial Assistance<br />

SMF has obtained approval from IE Singapore for Singapore Pavilion in MyanBuild <strong>2013</strong> to be covered under the International<br />

Marketing Activities Programme (iMAP). iMAP enables companies to receive up to 50% subsidy of total eligible costs in:<br />

- Up to 50% subsidies of space rental and stand construction<br />

- Double-tax-deduction for eligible expenses not covered by iMAP (freight cost, travel & hotel for up to 2 representatives per<br />

participating company) can be claimed but subjected to terms and conditions<br />

Qualifying Criteria<br />

Eligible companies are defined as being incorporated and based in Singapore (exclude branch of a foreign company) & locally registered<br />

with at least 3 of the below core business functions:<br />

Market development and planning Logistics and shipping management<br />

Business and investment planning Research & development and design function<br />

Banking, financial & treasury functions Manufacturing & other value-added activities<br />

** The above amount is before reimbursement of iMAP’s approved amount. Reimbursement to exhibitors<br />

will be made after SMF receives the said amount from IE Singapore after the exhibition.<br />

• SMF members are required to pay an administration fee of $100 of which amount is not eligible for claim under the iMAP scheme.<br />

• GS1 members are required to pay an administration fee of $200 of which amount is not eligible for claim under the iMAP scheme.<br />

• Non-members are required to pay an administration fee of $450 of which amount is not eligible for claim under the iMAP scheme.<br />

• Please note that IE Singapore reserves the right to verify information provided by the companies. Eligibility and subsidy reimbursement<br />

of individual companies is subject to final approval by IE Singapore upon submission of iMAP Claim Form by SMF after the exhibition.<br />

iMAP reimbursement to eligible exhibitors will be via cheque only, approximately three to six months after the<br />

exhibition, when SMF receives the iMAP fund from IE Singapore.<br />

B. SPACE APPLICATION<br />

The Participant hereby applies for a total of _______ square metres of stand package space. Allocation of the booth will be at the final<br />

discretion of the Organiser, AMB Events Sdn Bhd.<br />

C. SPACE CONTRACT<br />

The Space Contract with the Organiser, AMB Events Sdn Bhd,is to be signed and returned within 2 weeks of receipt. The Exhibitor shall be<br />

irrevocably bound by the terms and conditions as stated in the Space Contract provided by the Organiser, AMB Events Sdn Bhd,<br />

D. PAYMENT<br />

FULL payment of the Participation Fee shall be made by crossed cheque payable to "Singapore Manufacturing Federation" with return of<br />

this reply-form. SMF reserves the right to reject this application if the full payment is not received. Other terms and conditions apply as per the<br />

E. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRADE FAIR PARTICIPATION<br />

The Exhibiting Company shall be irrevocably bound by the terms and conditions as stated in the Space Contract provided by AMB Events<br />

Sdn Bhd. No cancellation is allowed as cancellation charges will apply as per the Space Contract. The Exhibitor shall at all times keep SMF<br />

and each of its directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) fully and effectively<br />

indemnified from and against any and all liabilities, claims, damages, costs, charges and expenses to which any of the Indemnified Parties may<br />

be exposed or which any of the Indemnified Parties may incur, suffer, sustain and against all actions, suits, proceedings, claims, demands of<br />

any nature whatsoever which may be taken, made or threatened against any of the Indemnified Parties or incurred or become payable by any of<br />

the Indemnified Parties or which may arise directly or indirectly by reason of any act, deed, matter or thing done or permitted or omitted to be<br />

done by any of the Indemnified Parties in connection with this Agreement or arising therefrom and all other costs, charges and expenses in<br />

connection therewith, including legal costs on a full indemnity basis.<br />
