Maestro Slatkin and Friends
Bloomfield Hills
This architect’s jewel, built in 1924 and perched on
a hill overlooking six acres of land on Lower Long Lake,
reminds you of a bygone era. John Stahlin, a famous
landscape architect of Henry Ford, commissioned
George D. Mason, a well-known architect, to design a
Grand Manor English summer estate. The home remains
as it was built; the owners have been very careful to
“only conserve” the history of this house. Join us for an
unforgettable evening with Maestro Slatkin, friends,
and food that will tantalize.
April in Paris
Beverly Hills
Welcome spring with the spectacular cuisine of Detroit’s
Cuisine Restaurant. Paris-trained owner-chef Paul Grosz
fuses contemporary French and American palates to
produce intensely flavored and gorgeously paired foods.
Our culinary journey to Paris leads us to perhaps the most
intriguing figure in classical music history, Antonio Salieri.
Court composer to the Hapsburgs, Salieri is often viewed
as having hated – some say even poisoned – the young
genius Mozart. While they were rivals, the truth is much
more complex. Paris was a springboard for each. Mozart
wrote his first adult symphonic pieces in Paris. Salieri’s
reputation as an opera composer was cemented there.
You have heard Mozart. You have probably not heard
Salieri. Our musicians will sample their contrasting styles
for you, as you imagine that you are in Paris.
MENU
Profiteroles with Smoked Salmon and Caviar
Foie Gras Torchon and Fig Butter on Brioche Toast
Chanterelle Goat Cheese Tarts
Lobster Bisque
Butter Poached Lobster with Spring English Peas
May Day Celebration
Bingham Farms
In ancient Rome, tributes were paid to Flora, the goddess
of flowers. In Sweden fires were built, and Old Man Winter
was burned in effigy. In Bingham Farms, May Day will
be celebrated at this spectacular, contemporary home
nestled in the woods. The home is May-Day ready with
walls of glass, so the view is tranquil and lush. The joyous
sounds of beautiful music and fabulous fare will make the
celebration complete.
MENU
Asparagus Frittata with Dill and Shrimp
Beef Bruschetta with Coarse Grain Mustard
Devil’s Night Delight
Bloomfield Village
Once upon a time in the Village of Bloomfield lived a
charming couple who loved to give parties on their
veranda. Alas, each time they tried a disaster would come
upon them. Ahhh… but on Devil’s Night there may be a
chance that all will go well, so we have invited wonderfully
talented musicians to play a concert and bring good
karma to the veranda. Join us and be mesmerized by their
sweet music.
