Hittite Temple<br />
Hattuşa, Hitit İmparatorluğu’nun hem idari başkenti,<br />
hem de ülkenin dini merkeziydi. Hitit metinlerinde Hattuşa<br />
Ülkesinden “bin tanrılı ülke” olarak söz edilir.Bu tanrı bolluğu<br />
ilginç bir gelenekten kaynaklanır: Hititler diğer ülkelerin, özellikle<br />
de yendikleri komşularının tanrılarını kızdırıp gazaplarına<br />
uğramaktansa, armağan ve dualarla saygılarını dile getirip onları<br />
kendi tanrıları arasına katmayı yeğliyorlardı. Ayrıca her şehrin<br />
koruyucu bir tanrısı vardı. İmparatorluğun çeşitli şehirlerinde<br />
tapınılan bu tanrılar için de başkentte tapınaklar yaptırılmıştı.<br />
Başkent Hattuşa’da bugüne kadar 31 tapınak gün ışığına<br />
çıkartılmıştır. Aşağı Şehir’de ülkenin en yüksek tanrıları olan<br />
Hattusa was both the administrative capital of the<br />
Hittite Empire and the religious center of the country. Hattusa<br />
land is called as “the country with thousand gods” in the Hittite<br />
texts. The reason behind the abundance of gods is that, rather<br />
than annoying the gods of its neighboring countries that they<br />
defeated and facing the range of those gods, the Hittites preferred<br />
to show their respects to the gods of the other countries by gifts<br />
and prays and accept them among their own gods. Furthermore,<br />
there was a protector god of each city. Temples were also built<br />
in the capital for these gods who were worshipped in different<br />
cities of the Empire. 31 temples have been found in Hattusa till<br />
