5. All medication will be stored in a secure cabinet or refrigerator. Only certified staff will handle<br />
medication.<br />
6. Children are not allowed to bring medications to and from child care unless accompanied by a<br />
responsible adult.<br />
ALLERGIES<br />
The center shall accommodate a child with known allergies and sensitivities. The center shall limit<br />
exposure to known environmental allergies and sensitivities.<br />
SUN SCREEN and INSECT REPELLENT<br />
Written authorization shall be on file for center staff to apply sunscreen to <strong>the</strong>ir children’s exposed skin.<br />
<strong>Parent</strong>s may provide <strong>the</strong>ir own sunscreen and/or bug spray, but bottles shall be clearly marked with<br />
child’s first and last name. If sunscreen is provided by <strong>the</strong> center <strong>the</strong> brand name will be posted and <strong>the</strong><br />
SPF will not be less than 30. All products will be applied in accordance with manufacturers’ label.<br />
