CULTURAL COMPONENT<br />

METHODS<br />
The Cultural Component consists of lectures in the field of Polish history, customs and culture (films, theatre,<br />
music), socio-economic implications of global economic crises and intercultural communication.<br />
In addition, outdoor games, movie evenings and museum visits are prepared.<br />
Optional trips:<br />
Cracow guided tour (Royal Route, Wawel Hill, Royal Castle, Main Market Square, The Dominican Abbey<br />
and Franciscan Church)<br />
Kazimierz – the former Jewish district in Cracow<br />
Vistula river cruise<br />
Oswiecim – Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau<br />
Zakopane – the Polish capital of winter sports, situated at the foot of the Tatras; Zakopane is the centre of the<br />
unique highlander culture.<br />
The Tatra Mountains – the only Alpine mountain range in this part of Europe, the highest peak in its Polish<br />
part is Rysy (2,499 metres).<br />
Wieliczka – a monumental 700-year-old salt mine, listed by UNESCO among the treasures of the World<br />
Heritage, open to visitors.<br />
Tyniec – Benedictine Abbey<br />
Eurodinner - students will present the specialities of their regions<br />
Wadowice – the home town of Pope John Paul II<br />
