INTRODUCTION
Th is SIB is released to update E GR serv ice specif ications for the Series 50 engine.
DETAILS AND REASON
Service specifications have changed for the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) solenoid and the
PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) valve.
ADDITIONAL SERVICE INFORMATION
Additional service information is available in the Detroit Diesel DDEC III/IV Single ECM
Troubleshooting Guide, 6SE497. The next revision to this guide will include the revised information.
