PART I – ADMINISTRATION<br />
PREAMBLE<br />
The <strong>Dolphin</strong> <strong>81</strong> was designed in 1993 by Ettore Santarelli (Italy) and was adopted<br />
officially as a national A class in Switzerland in 2001.<br />
As long as <strong>Dolphin</strong> <strong>81</strong> is not a ISAF class all terms and statements concerning ISAF<br />
shall be ignored. This excludes links to references like ISAF RRS and ISAF ERS.<br />
Section A – General<br />
A.1 TYPE OF CLASS RULES<br />

These are closed class rules.<br />
The intention of these rules is to ensure the boats are identical in<br />
construction, hull, shape, weight, equipment, rigging and sail plan to<br />
achieve equal appearance, performance and utilisation.<br />
A.2 LANGUAGE<br />

The official language of the class is English and in case of dispute over<br />
translation the English text shall prevail.<br />
The word “shall” is mandatory and the word “may” is permissive.<br />
