Colwick
Colwick, on the banks of the
River Trent, is the borough’s only
urban Parish. Located there is
the borough’s main industrial
estate. It also gives its name to
a number of nearby attractions
including Colwick Country Park,
Colwick Racecourse and
Colwick Woods.
boasts a number of beautiful
buildings. All Hallows Church
with its 180-foot spire provides
a focal point for the village.
The nearby colliery closed in
1991 and some of the land
is being reclaimed to provide
a public recreational space
and park.
Lambley
Lambley, formerly part of
Sherwood Forest, is set in the
pretty valley of Cocker Beck. It
contains a number of the 19th
century cottages that have been
renovated to their original glory.
