Sincere thanks to everyone who entered our<br />
musical quiz which raised £140 for our<br />
kitchen/toilet extension. <strong>The</strong>re were 6<br />
correct entries <strong>and</strong> the winner that was<br />
drawn out <strong>of</strong> the hat was Miss Whalley from<br />
Grange over S<strong>and</strong>s.<br />
SLIDE TALK<br />
We thank Geraldine very much for hosting<br />
her talk in Ivy House. <strong>The</strong> slides showing<br />
the wonderful Mosaics <strong>of</strong> Ravenna were<br />
truly stunning. <strong>The</strong> extension fund benefitted<br />
by £120.50p<br />
ART AND CRAFT EXHIBITION<br />
A very enjoyable <strong>and</strong> successful Art <strong>and</strong><br />
Craft Exhibition was held at Cartmel Fell<br />
over the May Day bank holiday weekend.<br />
Although the weather wasn't very kind<br />
to us on Sunday, the sun shone on Monday<br />
<strong>and</strong> we had lots <strong>of</strong> lovely visitors from<br />
around the local area <strong>and</strong> beyond.<br />
Our thanks go to all exhibitors <strong>and</strong><br />
demonstrators who gave so much pleasure to<br />
all the visitors <strong>and</strong> to all our friends from the<br />
Two Valleys who supported us.<br />
Our very sincere thanks go to all the<br />
volunteers for their hard work in making the<br />
weekend so special. We raised over £900 in<br />
total.<br />

“EVERYBODY WELCOME” COURSE<br />
We mentioned at our Annual Church<br />
Meeting this year that we would be inviting<br />
each congregation to attend a four-week<br />
course on “welcome” in its broadest sense,<br />
to enable everybody to help our churches<br />
grow. This Everybody Welcome course<br />
helps us look anew at what it means to be a<br />
welcoming, embracing community. It is a<br />
very accessible course <strong>and</strong> we invite all<br />

meet on the four Tuesday evenings in <strong>June</strong><br />
