Brigsteer Open Gardens<br />
<strong>The</strong> hidden gardens <strong>of</strong> Brigsteer will be open from 11 a.m. to 5.30<br />
p.m. on Sunday 26th <strong>and</strong> Monday 27th May <strong>2013</strong> <strong>of</strong> the Spring<br />
Bank Holiday weekend. All are within easy walking distance <strong>of</strong> each<br />
other. Homemade cakes, teas, light lunches <strong>and</strong> plant stalls.<br />
Admission to gardens £5 adults, children free.<br />

Township Plantation Walk<br />
with Rob Petley-Jones –Saturday 1st <strong>June</strong><br />
Meet at <strong>The</strong> Mill Wheel for 10.30am.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Trustees <strong>of</strong> the L<strong>and</strong>owners <strong>of</strong> <strong>Crosthwaite</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Lyth</strong> are delighted to have<br />
Rob leading another walk for us this year. He is an entertaining local speaker<br />
with an in depth knowledge <strong>of</strong> the flora <strong>and</strong> fauna found in Township Plantation.<br />
<strong>The</strong> pace will be leisurely but paths can be rough <strong>and</strong> muddy (even in summer)<br />
so please come prepared. In order to avoid frightening butterflies away please do<br />
not bring dogs on this walk. <strong>The</strong>re will be opportunities to discuss the present<br />
<strong>and</strong> future management <strong>of</strong> this special area. If you wish to stay for the afternoon<br />
as well please bring food <strong>and</strong> drink with you.<br />
