where high early strength is required.
Because of the large heat development
which occurs sand must be used in the
mortar and layers must not be thicker
than 2 – 4 cm, depending upon the
temperature.
Coating
Mapepoxy L can be used as a coating
on concrete or steel e.g. to ensure
adequate reinforcement coverage
where this is too low or to provide
rust protection.
Apply using a brush, trowel or funnel
sprayer. Normally at least 2 coats are
applied with sand dressing in between.
The coating can be built up to a
thickness of several millimeters.
Variants
With two comp. B variants in addition
to the standard comp. B it is possible
to select a hardener or hardener
combination and achieve varying pot life,
open time and degree of thixotropy i.e.
it is possible to obtain coatings which
can be applied to vertical surfaces in
varying thicknesses.
Mapepoxy LR is used at high working
temperatures and in places where a long
pot life is necessary.
The lowest application temperature
is +10°C.
Mapepoxy LS distinguishes itself from
Mapepoxy L in that the adhesive has a
putty consistency.
Particularly suited for bonding on vertical
surfaces, where a certain thickness of
glue joint is required.
Cleaning
Clean equipment immediately after use
with Tynner.

If one tests a glue joint in shear one gets cohesive failure in the concrete after
5 hours 8 MPa etter ca. 5 timer at 20 o C and after approx. 15 hours at +5 o C.
