Series 8-FP
Series 8-FP expands the beautiful, clean lines of perforations to cover the
entire bottom of the fixture. Series 8-FP distributes light approximately 92%
indirect and 8% direct. It is available with 2 T8 or T5-HO lamps in lengths of
4′, 8′, and 12′. Plug-together wiring is standard on all fixtures. All hardware is
located in the lamp compartment—no disassembly required. Fixtures connect
to each other with a die-formed internal joiner and an injection molded
aligner sleeve. Precision joining ensures tight joints and no light leaks. Series
8-FP combines Finelite’s standards of die-formed precision manufacturing and
luminaire efficiency at very affordable prices.

Series 8-FP is available in 4′, 8′, and 12′ lengths. Additional 4′, 8′,
and 12′ segments can be added to create runs as long as required.
Modular section lengths offer standard 4′0″, 8′0″ and 12′0″ support
spacing that aligns with grid ceiling systems.

S8-FP SPECIFICATIONS
CONSTRUCTION: 20 gauge die-formed steel
body with 14 gauge die-formed internal joiner
system, plug-together wiring standard. All components
hard tooled to tolerances of 0.005″.
Precision-punched 0.062″ diameter perforations
cover the bottom of the fixture.
ENDCAPS: Flat 20 gauge die-formed steel
endcaps standard. Optional: Injection molded
sculpted endcap with 0.100″ reveal, “Georgia Gulf-
8150” white special purpose PVC compound. V094
and L5 rated, UV stabilized with anti-static compound
added. Subjected to test ASTM D-635, with
no exposed fasteners, holes or knockouts. FE=flat
endcap. RE=rounded endcap.
REFLECTORS: Die-formed pre-painted aluminum,
91% reflective white. Virgin acrylic-UV
stabilized lens diffuser over perforations is
standard. Optional: Extended Performance Reflector
System.
SUPPORT CABLES: Stainless steel with plated
hardware.
MOUNTING OPTIONS: Semi-adjustable aircraft
cable, (AC) ± 0.5″ in lengths of 12″, 15″,
18″, 21″, 24″, 27″, 30″, 36″. Order length, e.g.
AC 18″. Optional Adders: Fully adjustable aircraft
cable (FA) in lengths up to 150″. Rigid stems (Stem).
FINISHES: Finelite White standard. Fixtures are
prepared for finishing with a five-stage system
including heated wash, ambient rinse, heated
iron phosphate wash, cold rinse, and heated seal.
The finish is an electrostatically, dry-applied
epoxy powder coat which is thermo-fused at over
100°C. No volatile organic compounds (VOC’s)
are emitted during finishing. 185 colors available
from Tiger Drylac’s RAL color chart for a nominal
adder.
LAMPING: Series 8-FP is available in 2 T8 lamp
cross sections or 2 lamp T5-HO cross sections.
FEED: 18 gauge straight cord. 14 gauge feed cord
used when fixture current exceeds 6 amps.
Optional Adders: Coil Cord Feed, Rigid Stem Feed.
ELECTRICAL: 120 or 277 volt prewired. Fixture
and electrical components UL and C-UL listed
and fixture will bear UL and C-UL labels.
Optional Adders: Dual Circuit, emergency circuits,
emergency battery packs.
