Processed approximately 160 referrals from the local school districts and<br />

Highland Pines<br />

Made over 800 contacts to truancy students and their families<br />

Follow‐up contacts made on 25 students who were referred the previous<br />

school year<br />

Court referrals filed on 12 students<br />

Worked with the Juvenile/Family Court personnel to develop new guidelines<br />

which will be implemented for the 2011‐2012 school year<br />

Presented our truancy program at the MPAAA (Michigan Pupil Accounting<br />

& Attendance Association) state‐wide conferences<br />

Coordinated meetings for increased collaboration between local school<br />

districts, <strong>Tuscola</strong> County Court System and local service agencies<br />

Observed increased involvement of school personnel in the prevention<br />

model<br />

Conducted increased interventions at the elementary level<br />

Observed improved attendance in approximately 70% of cases referred<br />

Observed decrease repeat offenders<br />

Served on the following committees: Continuum of Care, Human Services<br />

Collaborate Council and Systems of Care<br />

Pupil Accounting<br />

Provided building‐level workshops for all districts in <strong>Tuscola</strong> County<br />

Provided one‐on‐one training for new local school district building staff<br />

Presented auditor training sessions at the MPAAA state‐wide conferences<br />

Served as ISD representative on the MPAAA’s Executive Board<br />

Served as a Planning Committee Member for MPAAA<br />

Served as a member of the MPAAA Legislative Committee<br />

Served on the committee for developing and testing the new MSDS computer<br />

program for count day submissions<br />

Served on the MDE committee for establishing guidelines for auditing the<br />

Seat Time Waiver program<br />

Served on the MDE committee for evaluating and updating the graduation<br />

audit guidelines<br />
