E. Period of work in CSL & Methodology of payment
The selected and finally short listed firms / prime contractors will be awarded the full related work of
vessels as per the “Scope of work” for a duration of 3 years and can be extended to 2 more years
depending upon satisfactory performance or till the completion of existing projects. Further extension can
be made based on mutual agreement. The works are construction of small vessels like off shore vessels,
tugs, dredgers etc.
The yard proposes to adopt a lump sum payment method for the vessel/ part of vessel with stage payment
based on cardinal activities. However the firm can indicate the payment methodology and the exact
methodology will be decided at the end of selection process after discussion with selected firms. The firm
shall be conversant with the existing tax laws with respect to Kerala state and central government.
CSL will have operation of more than one new building project at a time. Yard at their sole discretion may
allocate a project full or part of the vessel or all the projects in the same series depending upon the
capability of firm on competitive quotation/ pricing. The firm which is most competitive will be offered
the job. The yard is planning to have MoU with the selected firms based on which a portion of future
orders could be taken. Exact details of MoU will be finalized based on selection of capable firms for the
above works.
F. Attached format may be filled by the firm while submitting the EOI. Any details for which further documents
need to be submitted the same shall also be furnished. We are sourcing out firm for each type A, B or C.
A firm is expected to respond for one category. However if they are interested for two or more separate form
shall be filled.
