Description for technical specifications<br />

The USA is a device that synchronizes, controls and monitors the simultaneous running of ACK4 actuators fitted on the same frame. It<br />

becomes essential when two or three ACK4 chain actuators are set up on large size windows, providing a regular and even movement of<br />

the vents, to guarantee the security of the frame and connected motors.<br />

The microprocessor of this unit checks in real time the actuators feeding power, consumption and speed. When any one of the checked<br />

parameters does not meet the standard, the USA automatically disconnects the feeding and signals, by a pilot light, which actuator is causing<br />

the failure.Only two or three actuators, preset with a five-wire cable connection, can be linked to the USA2 and USA3. The unit is fitted in<br />

a grey shock-resistant plastic case. Both the unit and the actuators can work either at 230V – 50Hz or 24V DC. It is preset for connection<br />

to all wind, rain, air-conditioning, smoke and heat evacuation systems.<br />

The AL24 feeder supplies low voltage 24V actuators or, if connected to the EVP, it realizes a feeding group for the low voltage 24V actuators.<br />

A relay grants high reliability and safety of the motors. The actuator’s movement is manually controlled through a double push-button or by<br />

a switch. The AL24/2 (4A) and the AL24/5 (10A) may be simultaneously activated by a single control.<br />

The AL24/10 (20A) allows to divide the control in two separate zones according to the installation requirements. The feeding unit is<br />

The new TF21/24 (24V output voltage) and TF41/44 (230V output voltage) control units are designed to feed and control, the connected<br />

motors. The actuators may be individually or simultaneously operated when connected to a manual or radio control. With the suitable model<br />

we can supply the F33 radio control at 433 Mhz or the F27 infrared remote control. If necessary, the receiver of the infrared remote control<br />

can be installed outside the unit (for example,near the manual controls) up to a max. distance of 5 meters.<br />

The radio and remote controls work with sequential step system (opening – stop – closing – stop….).<br />

Every push button controls the respective motor. The simultaneous pushing of two buttons opens or closes all the connected motors.<br />

The RPR rain sensor (12V), the RW wind sensor and the RL light sensor may be connected to these units. The TF21/24 and TF41/44<br />

The EVP wind/rain control unit automatically and independently controls and closes the frames in case of<br />

emergency through wind and rain sensors, that is when the preset values have been exceeded. The rain sensor connected to the EVP is<br />

the low voltage RPR heated version (12V). The unit allows the connection of 230V actuators. If a higher number of actuators are<br />

necessary than the standard, the system can be implemented with more motors, by presetting the equipment with<br />

a proper powerful relay or by using one or more M5 modules. Every module is controlled by the same wind and rain sensor.<br />

An AL24 feeder, preset to receive the motor’s opening and closing pulse from the EVP, is required for the power going to the low voltage<br />

Modular surveying units of control and detection


Description for technical specifications<br />

The AC8 and the PCU32 represent a modular control and surveying system for the evacuation of smoke and heat and to control climatic<br />

variations such as rain and wind. The module system has been designed to allow the customer great flexibility to implement and to program<br />

the system according to specific requirements.<br />

The AC8 control unit can be connected up to a max of 31 units by means of a RS485 serial line. The AC8 can be employed in three<br />

different application systems:<br />

• SINGLE: only one AC8 unit to control one single area (connection of 24V voltage motors for max. 16A)<br />

• MULTIPLE: more than one units, to control various areas simultaneously (max 31)<br />

• COMBINED MULTIPLE: to control more areas from one single point (many AC8 units and 1 PCU32 display).<br />

The PCU32 module, equipped witn a LCD display, displays and monitors the status of all the AC8 control units connected to it and control<br />

them in single or multiple way. It has the buttons for the general co<strong>mm</strong>and and the matrix to display the status of the peripheral modules<br />

of each zone.<br />

This innovative system allows to place the AC8 module close to the motors to control. Each system’s configuration can be further implemented<br />

with the MEM/AL optional module that allows the connection of 24V motors for max. 16A. It just feeds the motors while the AC8 operates<br />

them. A wide choice of accessories, such as electric sirens, flashing lights and automatic dials can be connected to the AC8 and the PCU32<br />

units. The alarm caused by smoke, gas and temperature sensors is prior to every other function. Each MEM/AL module is supported by<br />

a feeder and batteries; the connection between control unit and MEM/AL module does not need particular wires<br />

but a standard cable with minimum diameter. The AC8 control unit can work also with 230V motors: if controlled by the M5 module they<br />

can be used for ventilation. All detectors (wind/rain/smoke/gas, etc. sensors) can be connected to the M5, that independently processes<br />

the emergency and operates the window. A battery pack at 24V and buffer charged ensures the power supply to the connected safety<br />

sensors for 72 hours avoiding any power loss and useless long wiring costs. The feeding unit is contained in shockproof grey plastic, with<br />

RW Wind Sensor_RPR/RPR2 Rain Sensor<br />

The wind sensor, connected to TF21, TF24, EVP, M5 and AC8, is a device that controls the automatic closure of windows when the wind<br />

speed exceeds the preset defined value. The RW is contained in weatherproof plastic, with rotating blade system to catch the wind speed.<br />

As the wind sensor, the rain sensor must be located outside, exposed to rain.<br />

The RPR low tension version (12V) may be connected to the TF21, TF24, EVP and M5 control units; the RPR2 version (230V) may be<br />

connected to the AC8 and TF40. They automatically close windows when the comb sensor is wet; as they are heated, they dry off quickly<br />

and are insensitive to fog, ice, dew and damp.<br />

RF811 Smoke Detector<br />

The RF811 is an optic smoke sensor for indoor smoke detection. It can be connected to the AC8 unit in systems for smoke evacuation.<br />

UNI EN54 regulated, it secures high reliability and is protected against false alarms.<br />

RF813 Temperature Detector<br />

The RF813 analogical temperature detector reacts i<strong>mm</strong>ediately to rapid increases in temperature.<br />

It can be connected to the AC8 control unit in systems for smoke evacuation and is UNI EN54 regulated.<br />

PM1_PM2_PM3 Keyboards<br />

PM keyboards control one or more actuators. Designed to be fitted against the wall, they have 1 or 2 buttons according to the required<br />

model. The box is in shockproof plastic and is equipped with a 10A double switch button with 6 clamps, and a Ø5x20<br />

fuse block.<br />

EA Emergency Control<br />

The EA is a manual control device that creates an alarm state when the glass is broken and activates the window<br />

opening. The push button consists of 2 contacts: one is N.A: (normally OPEN) and the other one is N.C. (normally CLOSED).<br />

The red external colour of the box responds to the standard safety rules and is IP55 rated.
