VELUX EHF FINAL4 2012 EVENT INFORMATION The VELUX EHF FINAL4 is the culmination of the European club handball season. The two-day event sees the best four men’s teams in Europe playing to decide the ultimate winners of the VELUX EHF Champions League title. Introduced in the 2009/10 season and so far played twice in the LAXNESS arena, Cologne, the decision to create a new format for the final phase of the VELUX EHF Champions League was seen as crucial for the growth of handball across Europe. The aim was to create a flagship event, one that could compete on the international sports market and make the Europe’s leading club competition even more attractive to partners and sponsors. The aim of the new format was to create an event that set new standards in organisation and entertainment not just for four games played over two days, but a true entertainment event in its own right. Playing in one venue, in a major European city with a whole year for organisation, promotion and marketing have been critical factors in the success of the event. 20,000 people from over 26 countries travelled to Cologne in May 2011 for the second edition of the event. Tickets were sold-out weeks before the four participating teams were known and the total number of 19,750 spectators was a new record in European club competitions. The VELUX EHF FINAL4 will return to Cologne, Germany on 26 and 27 May 2012 for the third time. VELUX EHF FINAL4 2012 TICKET INFORMATION The VELUX EHF FINAL4 takes place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May 2012 at the LANXESS arena, Cologne, Germany. Tickets are available in four price categories (as well as VIP Tickets): Category 1 €220 Category 2 €165 Category 3 €110 Category 4 €50 VIP €495 (+ VAT) Tickets can be purchased online at www.ehfFINAL4.com or via the ticket telephone hotline on +49 221 280 288. Experience the unique atmosphere at the LANXESS arena Cologne when 20,000 enthusiastic fans cheer for the world’s best handball players competing for the prestigious VELUX EHF Champions League title. Get your tickets as soon as possible and order early as last season, due to the high demand, tickets sold out months before the event. Only 2,000 tickets have been reserved for the four clubs who make the VELUX EHFFINAL4 and once the public tickets are sold out there are no more tickets available. All VELUX EHF FINAL4 tickets are for the whole weekend and include four matches; two on Saturday 26 May and two on Sunday 27 May (two semi-finals on Saturday, 3/4 Match and Final on Sunday). Tickets include free public transport to and from the LANXESS arena in Cologne (VRS system).
