General Terms and Conditions
1. Tender submitted shall remain valid for 90 days from the date of opening for the
purpose of acceptance and award of work, validity beyond 90 days from the date
of opening shall be by mutual consent.
2. The contract will be for a period of one year. Initial assignment as trial would be
for a period of three months after satisfactory completion of which the contract
may be extended for further period on the existing rates, terms and conditions at
the discretion of Director, CIMFR or otherwise.
3. The tenderer shall quote rates both in figures and words. He shall also workout
the amount for each item of work and shall write in both figures and words. The
rates quoted shall be inclusive of all sorts of statutory taxes & duties as
applicable for the particular work, during the entire period of contract. No
amount whatever may be the ground shall not be entertained after opening &
acceptance of the Tender On check if there are difference between the rates
quoted by the tenderer in words and in figures or in the amount worked out by
him, the following procedure shall be followed:
(a) When there is a difference between the rates in figures and in words,
the rates which correspond to the amounts worked out by the
tenderer, shall be taken as correct.
(b) When the amount of any item is not worked out by the tenderer or it
does not tally in figures and in words, then the rate quoted by the
tenderer in words shall be taken as correct/final. Further if the rate
quoted by the tenderer in figures and in words tallies but the amount
is not worked out correctly, then the rate quoted by the tenderer shall
be taken as correct/final. The incorrect worked out amount shall be
ignored .
4. Except writing rates and amount, the tenderer should not write any conditions or
make any changes, additions and modifications on the printed form of tenders.
Tenderers who are desirous to offer rebate, the same should be brought out on
the tender form and also submitted along with the tender.
5. The rates as quoted would be applicable for entire period of contract and the
contractor will not make any claim for additional charges under any
circumstances
6. Before tendering, the tenderer should inspect the site to get acquainted himself
with the conditions in regard to accessibility of sites, nature and extent of ground
working condition of sites and locality required for the satisfactory execution of
the work contract. No claim whatsoever on such account shall be entertained by
the Institute/Lab. in any circumstances. Pre-bid meeting will be organized to
facilitate the tenderers in this regard.
7. Earnest money will be forfeited if the contractor fails to commence the work as
per letter of award.
8. The contractor will have to provide adequate manpower with sound health (not
suffering from any contagious disease) with more than 18 years and below 50
years of age. No worker less than 18 years of age should be deployed by the
contractor.
