The department includes three laboratories:
1- Macromolecular compounds laboratory (Polymer Lab.)
Synthesis of Polymers:
• Preparation of blends, composites and nanocomposites.
• Preparation and studies on fire retarding, electrical and insulation
modifiers for plastics and rubbers.
• Preparation of adhesives and coating materials.
• Studies and application Dial’s Alder adducts.
• Preparation and studies on degradable plastics and hydrogel for
agriculture purposes.
Research analyses and services:
• Physicochemical and mechanical properties of polymers.
• Tensile strength, Elongation at break, Young’s modulus, hardness.
• Melt flow index.
• Dielectric properties.
• Rheological properties.
• Density measurements.
