Important
“We”, “Us” or “Our” means RAC Motoring Services.
“Dealer” means the person you are considering buying the vehicle from.
“You” means the potential purchaser of the vehicle which is the subject of this Report.
“Report” means the document including the Vehicle Check List which defines what we check for on the
items inspected.
We suggest that you read this Report and the Checklist Definitions Form thoroughly before deciding to
buy the vehicle. If you do not understand or are in any doubt as to any element of the report or any item
in the checklist please refer to your Dealer.
What the Vehicle Inspection Covers
The report summarises the outcome of the Vehicle Inspection we carried out on the vehicle on the date
set out overleaf where we checked the items listed in the Checklist Definitions Form.
We carry out a visual inspection of the vehicle and do not dismantle or remove any parts. The inspection
will not identify defects not present or apparent on the date of the examination. Please note the date of
the examination. This report is a statement of the condition of the Vehicle on that date using the RAC
Checklist Definitions Form as the reference point and commensurate with the age and mileage and
vehicle. We cannot be responsible for any change in the condition of the vehicle after the date of the
examination.
We cannot verify and do not warrant the accuracy of the mileage reading. Where we have no access to a
hoist or pit, we use a trolley jack to inspect the underbody. If our engineer could not inspect the
underbody, the report will explain why.
This report does not comment on cosmetic body condition and / or repairs carried out to a satisfactory
standard.
Non-EC Vehicles
If the vehicle has been imported and originates from a non-EC country it may not conform to EC Type
Approval and other regulations. You should seek assurance from the Dealer as to the status of the
vehicle in this respect.
