Dr. Paula Shaw is president of Altos Federal Group (Altos). Altos is a healthcare services company that specializes in providing<br />
medical staffing and ancillary healthcare services to military treatment facilities and commercial institutions. Founded in 1991, the<br />
company successfully graduating from the 8(a) program in 2002, and has now grown to a company with annual revenues of nearly<br />
$40 million. Altos employs 400 highly qualified professionals dedicated to providing caring, dependable, and high caliber healthcare<br />
services. Altos is committed to total customer satisfaction by providing quick and efficient solutions to address our customers needs.<br />

Dr. Shaw is a clinical psychologist who has over 20 years experience in Healthcare Management and Research with special skills in<br />
the areas of contract management and administration, healthcare provider training, executive management, and training and general<br />
management of both profit and non-profit entities. Prior to starting the company, Dr. Shaw was a clinical psychologist in Private<br />
Practice from 1980 to 1997. As a licensed practitioner, she provided individual, family, and group therapy sessions to individuals<br />
experiencing mental health problems.<br />
From 1993 to 1996, she was a member of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS) and chaired the<br />
DACOWITS’ Quality of Life Subcommittee.<br />
Dr. Shaw earned her Ph.D. degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her undergraduate degree fro Morgan<br />
State University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority.<br />
Altos donated to enumerable community causes with money and volunteer service from the corporate staff. Projects include purchasing<br />
soccer uniforms to a team in Gaithersburg, Maryland to sponsoring Alos Santa Events for disadvantaged families in the Washington<br />
Metropolitan area.<br />
Altos’ unique summer internship program mentors student from high school through college. Internships are paid and scholarship<br />
are given each year to these same students. We are proud to say that our class internship students have gone on to pursuits such as<br />
law school at American University on full academic scholarships to entering Ph.D. programs in computer science at George Mason<br />
University on full scholarships.<br />
Sponsored a chair at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for research in heart disease, recipient Dr. Blackstone.<br />
