DELHI AIRPORT (DIAL)
The contract for a Tetra system at Delhi International Airport was
awarded in 2008
The Tetra Radio system at Delhi Airport comprises of three (3) base
stations providing radio coverage across all airport terminals.
The Tetra system also comprises of two dispatchers, AVLS
system, Voice recording system and more than 1500 radio
subscribers.
Marking the Tetra contract for the busiest airport in South Asia,
Motorola supplied an integrated voice and data system, including
Infrastructure and radios for operation across all terminals of Delhi
Airport
Motorola’s TETRA system at Delhi Airport provides Airport staff and
the Airport community members instant, push-button communication
for voice and data. As an integrated solution, the system allows
members of diverse airport functions, including check-in, baggage
handlers, support crews and airport emergency services, to coordinate
both everyday, routine operations and emergencies, quickly and
seamlessly.
The system is owned & operated by DIAL and is designed to support a
variety of users, including airport operators, allowing the operators to
assign network access to priority users, ensuring that network
availability will match key user requirements, even at times of heaviest
use.

BANGKOK AIRPORT
Suvarnabhumi International Airport in
Bangkok was opened in September,
2006. The current capacity of the new
airport is 45 million passengers per year
with its two passenger terminals.
However, the airport is expected to
handle 100 million passengers per year
in four passenger terminal complexes
when the airport expands two-fold in
accordance with future plans.
800 MHz TETRA system provides voice
and data communications for airport
operations such as:
• operation maintenance, security,
baggage handling, ground and
catering services and etc.
Motorola’s portable radio provides the
assurance of robust performance on the
field with the Motorola Accelerated Life
Testing (ALT) TM and the Military
Standard 810.
The MTP750 radios are also certified as
Intrinsically Safe by Factory Mutual®
Approvals (FM).

PSA CORP, SINGAPORE
Singapore, 15 February 2005 — PSA Singapore Terminals,
the world’s largest transhipment hub, will be
implementing Motorola’s TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked
RAdio) digital radio system at its four container terminals at
Tanjong Pagar, Keppel, Brani and Pasir Panjang, and its
multi-purpose terminal Pasir Panjang Wharves. PSA
Singapore Terminals is the largest port user in the Asia-
Pacific to deploy the TETRA system, which offers integrated
voice and data capabilities.
With the TETRA-based digital radio communications
system, PSA Singapore Terminals will be able to harness
state-of-the-art voice and data communications solutions to
efficiently manage the increasing volume of container traffic
in its four container terminals, which handled a record
volume of 20.6 million TEUs in 2004.
Ports rely on clear, fast and reliable communication on the
ground to maintain frequent contact, facilitate decisionmaking,
information exchange and coordinate movement of
equipment and cargo. The enhanced voice clarity and
efficient channel utilisation offered by the TETRA solution
enables PSA Singapore Terminals to serve a larger user
population with fewer channels.
