1 can meet any of the enrollment criteria of the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley<br />
2 Tribe set out in the decision of the United States Court of<br />
Claims in its March 21, 1982, decision in the Short case (No.<br />
102—63) as “Schedule A”, “Schedule B”, or “Schedule C”<br />
and who—<br />
6 (A) maintained a residence on the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley<br />
7 - Reservation on -the date of enactment of this Act; -<br />
8 - (B)<br />
had maintained a residence on the <strong>Hoopa</strong><br />
9 Valley Reservation at any time within the five year<br />
10 period prior to the enactment -of this Act; or<br />
11 (C) owns an interest in real property on the<br />
12 <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley Reservation on the date of enactment of<br />
13 this Act,<br />
14 my elect to be, and, upon such election, shall be entitled to<br />
15 be, enrolled as a full member of the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley Tribe.<br />
16 (2) Notwithstanding any provision of the constitution,<br />
17 ordinances or resolutions of the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley Tribe to the<br />
18 contrary, the Secretary shall cause any entitled person elect-<br />
19 ing to be enrolled as a member of the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley Tribe to<br />
20 be so enrolled and such person shall thereafter be entitled to<br />
21 the same rights, benefits, and privileges as any other member<br />
22 of such tribe.<br />
23 (3) Any person enrolled in the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley Tribe pur-<br />
24 suant to this subsection shall be assigned by the Secretary<br />
25 that quantum of “Indian blood” or “<strong>Hoopa</strong> Indian blood”, as<br />
