(4) Any person making an election under this subsection<br />

shall no longer have any right or interest whatsoever in the<br />

tribal, communal, or unallotted land, property, resources, or<br />

4 rights within, or appertaining to, the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley Reserva-<br />

5 tion or the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley Tribe or, except to the extent authorized<br />

by paragraph (3), in the Settlement Fund.<br />

7 (d) LUMP SUM PAYMENT OPTI0N.—(1) Any person on<br />

8 the Settlement Roll may elect to receive a lump sum pay-<br />

9 ment from the Settlement Fund and the Secretary shall pay<br />

10 to each such person the amount of $20,000 out of the Settle-<br />

11 ment Fund.<br />

12 (2) Any person making an election to receive, and<br />

having received, a lump sum payment under this subsection<br />

14 shall not thereafter have any interest or right whatsoever in<br />

15 the tribal, communal, or unallotted land, property, resources,<br />

16 or rights within, or appertaining to, the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley Reser-<br />

17 vation, the <strong>Hoopa</strong> Valley Tribe, the Yurok Reservation, or<br />

18 the Yurok Tribe or, except authorized by paragraph (1), in<br />

the Settlement Fund.<br />

20 SEC. 7. DIVISION OF SETTLEMENT FUND REMAINDER.<br />

21 (a) Any funds remaining in the Settlement Fund after<br />

22 the payments authorized to be made therefrom by subsections<br />

23 (c) and (d) of section 6 and any payments made to successful<br />

24 appellants pursuant to section 5(d) shall be evenly divided<br />
