<strong>Your</strong> <strong>energy</strong> <strong>data</strong> <strong>need</strong> <strong>an</strong><br />

<strong>all</strong>-<strong>in</strong>-<strong>one</strong> meter<strong>in</strong>g <strong>system</strong>.<br />

EDW3000 is the <strong>in</strong>tegrated solution for the<br />

collection, process<strong>in</strong>g <strong>an</strong>d supply of <strong>energy</strong><br />

<strong>data</strong> <strong>an</strong>d <strong>all</strong> sub-areas <strong>in</strong>volved. It establishes<br />

the process cha<strong>in</strong> from measur<strong>in</strong>g to bill<strong>in</strong>g<br />

from the perspective of the grid operator,<br />

the <strong>energy</strong> supplier <strong>an</strong>d the measur<strong>in</strong>g<br />

po<strong>in</strong>t operator.<br />

Remote read<strong>in</strong>g, mobile meter value<br />

for generat<strong>in</strong>g correct <strong>an</strong>d verifiable bill<strong>in</strong>g <strong>data</strong><br />

as well as respective m<strong>an</strong>agement <strong>an</strong>d<br />

Energy Data M<strong>an</strong>agement<br />

The volume of commercial tr<strong>an</strong>sactions is <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>g<br />

dramatic<strong>all</strong>y, consequently every bus<strong>in</strong>ess must be aligned<br />

<strong>an</strong>d charged with actual supplies <strong>an</strong>d tr<strong>an</strong>sports. To do<br />

so, absolutely correct <strong>an</strong>d b<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g account<strong>in</strong>g values are<br />

essential.<br />

However, bill<strong>in</strong>g <strong>an</strong>d adm<strong>in</strong>istration of <strong>energy</strong> accounts is<br />

a complex process. It is measured at <strong>one</strong> po<strong>in</strong>t, generated<br />

at <strong>an</strong>other po<strong>in</strong>t <strong>an</strong>d the tr<strong>an</strong>sactions are arr<strong>an</strong>ged at a<br />

third po<strong>in</strong>t. One market partner is responsible for bill<strong>in</strong>g<br />

the customers, <strong>an</strong>other is <strong>in</strong> charge of bal<strong>an</strong>c<strong>in</strong>g. The<br />

market parties must possess the same b<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g meter<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>data</strong> which were uniformly generated <strong>in</strong> the first <strong>in</strong>st<strong>an</strong>ce<br />

by the EDW3000, this ensures that the sum of the s<strong>in</strong>gle<br />

calculations agree to form a total picture.<br />

Measur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>data</strong> are produced by calibrated meter<strong>in</strong>g devices,<br />

however <strong>in</strong> practice the values are not always error free. Error<br />

c<strong>an</strong> occur if the values are written m<strong>an</strong>u<strong>all</strong>y, voltage <strong>in</strong>terruption,<br />

breakdown of communication or simply a defect meter are the<br />

daily occurrences to trigger errors. Even when gaps <strong>an</strong>d errors<br />

occur <strong>in</strong> the collection, <strong>data</strong> must be complete for bill<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

EDW3000 is the ideal tool, it provides same rules for the meter<strong>in</strong>g<br />

customers which enables the grid operator to validate the<br />

meter<strong>in</strong>g <strong>data</strong> <strong>an</strong>d to correct them if required. Prelim<strong>in</strong>ary <strong>data</strong><br />

<strong>an</strong>d subsequent correction are <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> its r<strong>an</strong>ge.<br />

Universal validation rules such as the Dutch Meter<strong>in</strong>g Code <strong>in</strong><br />

The Netherl<strong>an</strong>ds c<strong>an</strong> be automatic<strong>all</strong>y started <strong>in</strong> the <strong>system</strong>. The<br />

communication takes place <strong>in</strong> st<strong>an</strong>dard format such as EDIFACT,<br />

ebIX, or LPEx.<br />

Errors c<strong>an</strong> occur, they c<strong>an</strong> be caused by meters,<br />

read<strong>in</strong>g <strong>system</strong>s, or people. The EDW3000 is<br />

used <strong>in</strong> utilities where subsequent <strong>system</strong>s<br />

<strong>an</strong>d trad<strong>in</strong>g partners <strong>need</strong> a reliable <strong>data</strong> base.<br />

Because highly complex calibrated measur<strong>in</strong>g<br />

devices provide precise <strong>an</strong>d traceable<br />

meter<strong>in</strong>g results on site, the <strong>data</strong> collection<br />

<strong>system</strong> EDW3000 must exercise great care<br />

when h<strong>an</strong>dl<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>data</strong>. It c<strong>an</strong> automatic<strong>all</strong>y<br />

start read<strong>in</strong>gs <strong>an</strong>d repeat them if required.<br />

Possible corrections that <strong>need</strong> to be made are<br />

retraceable at <strong>an</strong>y time. An uncompromis<strong>in</strong>g<br />

def<strong>in</strong>ition of „real values“ <strong>an</strong>d <strong>in</strong>dividual<br />

<strong>in</strong>spection rules for diverse markets <strong>an</strong>d<br />

regulations guar<strong>an</strong>tees <strong>an</strong> account<strong>in</strong>g-specific<br />

h<strong>an</strong>dl<strong>in</strong>g of the meter<strong>in</strong>g <strong>data</strong> from its retrieval<br />

up to its tr<strong>an</strong>smission to the bill<strong>in</strong>g <strong>system</strong>.<br />

EDW3000 is the <strong>all</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>one</strong> tool<br />

for modern grid operators or<br />

meter readers. It elim<strong>in</strong>ates<br />

futile overheads <strong>an</strong>d costly<br />

adm<strong>in</strong>istration. Every type<br />

of <strong>energy</strong> meter c<strong>an</strong> be<br />

m<strong>an</strong>aged, read <strong>an</strong>d controlled<br />

quickly, easily <strong>an</strong>d precisely.<br />

The <strong>system</strong> is based on the<br />

most used AMR <strong>system</strong> <strong>in</strong><br />

Europe - the ENZ2000 <strong>an</strong>d<br />

<strong>in</strong>tegrates the m<strong>an</strong>ual <strong>data</strong><br />

collection with h<strong>an</strong>dheld<br />

devices. This applies to <strong>all</strong><br />

types of <strong>energy</strong>: current, gas,<br />

water, <strong>an</strong>d heat.<br />

EDW3000 processes the collected<br />

<strong>energy</strong> <strong>an</strong>d meter<strong>in</strong>g <strong>data</strong> subject<br />

to the regulations of the <strong>in</strong>dividual<br />

Europe<strong>an</strong> countries us<strong>in</strong>g the latest EDM<br />

functions. The <strong>in</strong>telligent <strong>in</strong>tegration of<br />

<strong>data</strong> collection <strong>an</strong>d plausibility enables<br />

the automatic subsequent read<strong>in</strong>g of<br />

gaps, the detection <strong>an</strong>d correction of<br />

read<strong>in</strong>g errors <strong>an</strong>d the substitution of<br />

<strong>data</strong> with a quality <strong>an</strong>d precision that<br />

surpasses everyth<strong>in</strong>g to date. The <strong>system</strong><br />

maps the process step <strong>in</strong> which bill<strong>in</strong>g<br />

values relev<strong>an</strong>t to the <strong>energy</strong> market<br />

<strong>an</strong>d the trad<strong>in</strong>g partners are generated.<br />

Optimised <strong>in</strong>terfaces to SAP ® as well as<br />

the customary market <strong>in</strong>terfaces simplify<br />

the <strong>in</strong>tegration of the EDW3000 <strong>in</strong> <strong>an</strong>y<br />

exist<strong>in</strong>g IT environment.

EDW3000 executes the tasks for<br />

a qualified collection of <strong>energy</strong><br />

<strong>data</strong> <strong>an</strong>d asset m<strong>an</strong>agement of<br />

the field levels for the utility. It is<br />

implemented <strong>in</strong> the network or at<br />

the measur<strong>in</strong>g po<strong>in</strong>t operator <strong>an</strong>d<br />

supplies the ensu<strong>in</strong>g processes<br />

<strong>an</strong>d market partners with authentic<br />

measur<strong>in</strong>g results, they are created<br />

from the raw <strong>data</strong> of the meter<br />

read<strong>in</strong>g accord<strong>in</strong>g to the ‘true value<br />

pr<strong>in</strong>ciples’.<br />

EDW3000 supports <strong>all</strong> types of<br />

<strong>energy</strong>, electricity, gas, water, heat;<br />

its scope <strong>in</strong>cludes every customer<br />

group, such as special contract<br />

customers, tariff customers <strong>an</strong>d<br />

also tr<strong>an</strong>smitted measur<strong>in</strong>gs/<br />
