Introduction
What’s new
We are very proud to be the new owners of
the Locktronics range of products for teaching
electricity and electronics. In the short time we
have owned the range we have made many
improvements, and in this catalogue you can
see our plans for the further changes we will
be making to the range in 2010.
Locktronics is one of the strongest brands for
learning electricity in the World. Its easily
recognisable green carrier components are
used in more than 10,000 schools for teaching
science and engineering. Over the coming
years we will update the entire range and
expand it into new areas of teaching and
learning.
Matrix is a new company to most Locktronics
users. Our company is at the forefront of
technical education in the fields of electronics
and technology. We are particularly strong
in microcontroller development and control
technology. You can see some of our other
products in this area on page 24. The marriage
of Matrix’s existing technologies with the
Locktronics range will allow us to develop a
world class suite of solutions that simplifies
electricity and electronics for the next generation
of students.

We have made many
changes to the designs of existing
carriers - for example the
lampholder now includes the
appropriate circuit symbol.
New carrier components
We have introduced more than
40 new components - like our
new USB programmable
PICmicro carrier.
New low cost power supplies
New power supplies make a
practical alternative to batteries
and traditional PSUs whilst
keeping the circuit diagram intact.
Now also available for AC.
