POSITION SUMMARY<br />
The Youth Engagement Supervisor is a new position reporting directly to the Program Operations Manager.<br />
The person assigned to this position will be responsible to ensure productive, effective and efficient<br />
engagement of youth served in all related basic needs and first level interventions offered by the agency and<br />
the Youth Opportunity Center.<br />
First level interventions include but are not limited to: Street/site-based outreach, Welcome Center, drop-in<br />
center services, food/hospitality training services and education/employment services. Other core<br />
responsibilities include continuous and intentional coordination, monitoring and compliance of best practice<br />
service delivery, program planning and results from outcome evaluations. Direct, proactive supervision and<br />
professional development of staff providing first level intervention and basic needs services to youth in crisis,<br />
especially those experiencing homelessness.<br />
The person assigned to this key supervisory position must perform the described duties at a high level of<br />
professional competency with the goal of demonstrating consistent, youth-centered, best-practice and datadriven<br />
interventions and services for targeted youth accessing first level intervention services. This also<br />
includes initiating and coordinating seamless, barrier-free access, programming and collaboration with the<br />
network of services provided by <strong>YouthLink</strong> as well as onsite at the Youth Opportunity Center. Individualized as<br />
well as group collaborative methodologies are expected.<br />
The Supervisor works as an equal member of a team of four supervisors responsible for the seamless, bestpractice<br />
integration of the continuum of <strong>YouthLink</strong> interventions and services with the Youth Opportunity<br />
Center. The supervisory team is part of the administrative leadership and management team; as such, effective<br />
and proactive representation of leadership direction and planning is essential.<br />
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES<br />
Direct Supervision Staff/Professional Development<br />
Effectively coach, guide manage, and evaluate staff, including regular supervision meetings, annual<br />
performance evaluations, staff schedules, staff development, etc<br />
Set and lead a tone of mission-driven programming and service excellence that demonstrates<br />
continous improvement of healh, welfare, self-reliance, self-empowerment of youth served.<br />
Identification and coordination of cost-effective professional development opportunities that address<br />
individual staff and team needs<br />
Engage staff in effective dissemination of information, professional skill building and peer-to-peer<br />
training.<br />
Service Delivery Management<br />
Continuously monitor and assess ease of access for young people served, including capacity to navigate<br />
with ease from Welcome Center to identified areas of need.<br />
Manage referral process to continuously improve cost-effective service delivery and provide nonduplication<br />
documentation, access to programming and required data collection items<br />
Maintain current information regarding program eligibility, scope of service, policies and procedures<br />
and resoruces necessary to meet routine youth needs
Effective, productive communication with Supervisory team and Operations Manager, agency<br />
administrative leadership, onsite partners, Youth Opertunity Center leadership and external<br />
stakeholders<br />
Development and Evaluation<br />
Participate and actively engage and contribute in Management and Administrative Leadership<br />
Team, ensuring collaborative practice and shared responsibilities for management activites<br />
Work with Operations Manager and Director of Strategic Design and Evaluation to define and<br />
manage performance standards and evaluation of services<br />
Consistent collaboration with staff, supervisory team to develop appropriate processes so<br />
young people are actively involved in designing and developing interventions<br />
Be up to date and knowledable of all contracts requirements and grant commitments related to<br />
services<br />
Data Collection/Reporting<br />
Monitor and ensure accuracy of record keeping and reporting systems on regular basis as well<br />
as to ensure compliance with timelines; complete program related reporting as required<br />
Ensure that program staff accurately complete and maintain all record keeping and reporting<br />
systems related to direct service delivery<br />
Prepares a variety of written reports and presentations related to service data and youth<br />
impact<br />
Report observed trends, issues and ideas to improve service delivery and the youth’s<br />
experience beyond what is required by <strong>YouthLink</strong>, grants and contracts.<br />
Other duties as assigned<br />
Budget Management<br />
Manage and montior annual budget to meet the service needs while meeting budget goals<br />
Partner with Supervisor Team and Operations Management to ensure coordinated distribution<br />
of in kind donations<br />
Partner with accounting to implement and monitor processes that impact billing, allocations,<br />
spends downs, etc.<br />
Participate and contribute to program and agency fundraising.<br />
Contibute program related data to inform budget planning and program fundraising initiatives<br />
Other duties as assigned<br />
Program/Public Relations<br />
Lead consistent communication and positive relations with youth, staff, volunteers,<br />
collaborative partners, local community, funders, etc.<br />
Attend and participate in provider meetings, agency trainings/meetings, site visits, community<br />
events, and activities as necessary<br />
Ensure that young people who have least access and impact on decision-making are able to<br />
express their views and influence decisions.<br />
Provide service data and other information for marketing purposes, formal presentations, etc.<br />

QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree preferred in a specialty relevant to the job description, e.g., social work, leadership,<br />
education, community development. Bachelor’s Degree required in relevant field.<br />
Minimum 4 years direct administrative supervisory experience in fast-paced environment<br />
Proven leadership, team building and highly effective communication and problem-solving skills<br />
Direct experience in multiservice agency setting, preferably in youth intervention,working within a<br />
multidisciplinary team<br />
Direct experience leading the development, implementation and evaluation of programsDemonstrated<br />
ability to engage youth and young adults; initiate and model positive change<br />

Evidence of using technology for communication, information-gathering, program delivery and/or<br />
reporting. Advanced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access & Power Point), social media, and/or<br />
internet-based collaboration tools<br />
Reliable transportation required along with a current and valid Driver’s License, current insurance and a<br />
clean DMV record.<br />
Work schedule is flexible but requires occasional evening and/or weekends hours<br />
