<strong>YouthLink</strong><strong>Nicollet</strong> <strong>Square</strong> <strong>Program</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong>BACKGROUND<strong>YouthLink</strong> began in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1974 as a unit of the Hennepin County Area YouthDiversion <strong>Program</strong>s. Incorporated as a nonprofit in 1978, the agency today provides a continuum ofservices focused on youth in crisis and/or who are homeless, precariously housed, marginalized and atrisk of homelessness. Annually, <strong>YouthLink</strong> serves more than 3,000 youth between the age of 16 and 23.<strong>Nicollet</strong> <strong>Square</strong> is a permanent supportive housing program at 3710 <strong>Nicollet</strong> Avenue. The programprovides a fair start for emerging young adults who are transitioning out of homelessness or foster care.<strong>Nicollet</strong> <strong>Square</strong> offers reduced rent with support services and helps tenants master the real life skillsneeded to increase their income and manage their lives more independently. The mixed-usedevelopment has 42 studio apartments, offices for the support staff, and an innovative retail componentdesign specifically to provide employment options for tenants.POSITION SUMMARYThe <strong>Nicollet</strong> <strong>Square</strong> <strong>Program</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong> supervises support service operations and provides servicedelivery at the program location. The primary responsibilities include oversight of support serviceactivities, compliance with contracts and other funding requirements, and coordination andcollaboration with other onsite partners and collaborative partners. The position reports directly to the<strong>Program</strong> Operations Director at <strong>YouthLink</strong> and is an active member of <strong>YouthLink</strong>’s programmanagement team. In partnership with their supervisor, the <strong>Nicollet</strong> <strong>Square</strong> <strong>Program</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong> willalso provide consult to the boarder collaboration goals leadership team, specifically to BEACON, thedeveloper of <strong>Nicollet</strong> <strong>Square</strong>.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESBuilds team of professional staff to positively impact the project collaboration and youth served.Manages program budget, in conjunction with the <strong>Program</strong> Operations Director.Leads consistent communication and maintain positive relations with residents, collaborativepartners, local community, funders, etc.Collaborates with BEACON’s Volunteer Coordinator in the placement of volunteers and interns.Works with <strong>Program</strong> Operations Director to implement and manage program vision and goals.Submits statistical and descriptive information for contracts and other reporting as needed.Ensures routine and consistent team and project meetings to monitor and respond to residentneeds, service delivery, and collaborative priorities.Enforce program policies and procedures, and assess and revise as needed.Ensures the timely completion of program expense tracking and billing.Ensures data tracking and record keeping requirements are met.Provides program related data to inform budget planning and program fundraising initiatives.Recruits, hires, coaches, reviews, supervises, and terminates program staff as necessary inconjunction with the <strong>Program</strong> Operations Director.


Maintains current information regarding program eligibility, scope of service, policies andprocedures, and supportive service responsibilities to project collaboration.Attend and participate in provider group meetings, agency trainings/meetings, communityevents, and activities as necessary.Represents <strong>YouthLink</strong> at community events as assigned.Manages supportive service’s role in referral, recruitment, and intake of potential residents inpartnership with property management.On-call availability requiredThe above is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of essential functions for the job described, butrather a general description of some of the responsibilities necessary to carry out the duties of thisposition.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in human services field and five (5) years of program managementexperience.Must have at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.Knowledge of local community initiatives and efforts to end homelessness.Experience in working with youth/young adults.Experience providing Runaway and Homeless Youth funded services.Knowledge of implementation and practice within Housing First, Harm Reduction, Stages ofChange, Positive Youth Development, Strengths Based Services, and Trauma Informed CareMust have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance coverage.Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.Must work well independently and as a team leader.Computer competency in Microsoft Office applications.Must be able to pass a criminal background check in order to work with vulnerable adults perMinnesota State Law.SALARY AND BENEFITSFull time, exempt, $43,000 - $46,000 annually.
