Kromě převažujících zájmů duchovních,
o kterých se píše v předchozích kapitolách,
musíme upozornit na záliby praktické a moderní:
O sportovní založením Karla Kramáře
vypovídá již jeho vysokohorské rodiště,
ale také písemné zprávy o výborném bruslaři,
lyžaři, turistovi, tenistovi, jezdci na koni
a cvičenci Sokola. K myslivosti se přihlásil
nástěnnou výzdobou Ruské jídelny s 29
páry srnčích a jeleních parůžků a 8 hlavami
tetřívků, preparovanými u cestovatele a obprowess
