This Report documents herpes efficacy studies carried out<br />

on <strong>Laub</strong> <strong>BioChem</strong>icals Corp.’s natural-product and synthetic<br />

humate materials by Specialty Laboratories, Inc., Santa<br />

Monica, CA. Natural-product humic acid is coded “Hepsyl ®<br />

HA”; while synthetic humates are coded “Hepsyl ® xxx”, where<br />

xxx represents the starting material employed in the<br />

synthetic process–CA: caffeic acid; CGA: chlorogenic acid;<br />

HGA: homogentisic acid.<br />

Natural-product and synthetic humates are protected by<br />

U.S. patents (5,946,445; 6,569,416; 6,524,566; 6,524,567;<br />

6,534,049; 6,576,229) and other U.S. and international<br />

patents and patents pending. “Hepsyl ® ” is a Registered<br />

Trademark of <strong>Laub</strong> <strong>BioChem</strong>icals Corp. (U.S. 2,177,121).<br />
