OVERVIEW<br />

Join us and thousands of rail industry cus<strong>to</strong>mers<br />

at <strong>Railway</strong> Interchange 2011 in Minneapolis,<br />

Minnesota. Scheduled for September 18 - 21,<br />

2011, this trade show will be one of the largestever<br />

railway event in North America. <strong>Railway</strong><br />

Interchange 2011 will give railroaders <strong>from</strong><br />

around the world a unique opportunity <strong>to</strong> see<br />

and hear all that is new and innovative across<br />

the entire rail supply industry. It will feature<br />

hundreds of exhibits, both indoor and outdoor,<br />

and technical sessions on <strong>to</strong>pical issues.<br />

The Minneapolis Convention Center and CP<br />

Rail’s Humboldt Yard offer the best-ever indoor<br />

and outdoor venues for our industry show.<br />

Why Minneapolis<br />

With so much <strong>to</strong> see and do in down<strong>to</strong>wn<br />

Minneapolis, it’s no wonder that it is the largest<br />

city in Minnesota. Nudged right against the<br />

Mississippi River, the city boasts many urban<br />

attractions such as fi ne dining, shopping, museums,<br />

and world class accommodations. You’ll<br />

have plenty of opportunities <strong>to</strong> connect after<br />

show hours.<br />

And, if you are in<strong>to</strong> recreational activities you<br />

will fi nd that the Minneapolis area is full of<br />

Kayaking, hiking, and golf courses are also<br />

The venue for <strong>Railway</strong> Interchange 2011 will<br />

be the Minneapolis Convention Center, a trade<br />

show friendly facility with over 480,000 square<br />

feet of space and 87 column-free conference<br />

meeting rooms. The Minneapolis Convention<br />

Center is only 20 minutes <strong>from</strong> the airport on<br />

the southern edge of down<strong>to</strong>wn Minneapolis.<br />

In addition, the trade show and event center is<br />

connected by climate-controlled skyways <strong>to</strong> the<br />

down<strong>to</strong>wn hotels, restaurants and shopping.<br />

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS<br />

<strong>Railway</strong> Interchange 2011 will host several<br />

events, including indoor and outdoor exhibits<br />

and educational sessions. Please note that this<br />

schedule is preliminary and subject <strong>to</strong> change.<br />

Indoor Tradeshow Exhibits &<br />

Technical Sessions<br />

The indoor tradeshow exhibits and technical<br />

sessions will be located at the Minneapolis<br />

Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota,<br />

located at 1301 2nd Avenue South, Minneapolis,<br />

MN 55403-2710.<br />

The indoor exhibits will be hosted by the <strong>Railway</strong><br />

<strong>Supply</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> (RSI), the <strong>Railway</strong> Engineering<br />

& Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA),<br />

and <strong>Railway</strong> Systems Suppliers, Inc. (RSSI).<br />

Mechanical Associations (CMA). Hours have not<br />

been set for the Technical Programs but they will<br />

be held during normal indoor trade show hours.<br />

Outdoor Tradeshow Exhibits<br />

The outdoor exhibits will be held 20 minutes<br />

northwest of the Convention Center at<br />

Canadian Pacifi c’s Humboldt Yard located at<br />

2625 49th Ave N. Minneapolis, MN 55430.<br />

Bus transportation will be provided <strong>to</strong> and <strong>from</strong><br />

the Minneapolis Convention Center and<br />

Humboldt Yard.<br />

Outdoor exhibits will be hosted by the <strong>Railway</strong><br />

<strong>Supply</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> (RSI) and the <strong>Railway</strong> Engineering<br />

& Maintenance Suppliers Association<br />

(REMSA).<br />

The technical sessions will be hosted by American<br />

<strong>Railway</strong> Engineering and Maintenance-of-<br />

Way Association (AREMA) and the Coordinated<br />

Schedule subject <strong>to</strong> change<br />

The trade show and event center<br />

are connected by climate-controlled<br />

skyways <strong>to</strong> the down<strong>to</strong>wn hotels,<br />

restaurants and shopping.<br />

and dining, the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis<br />

and the Millennium Hotel Minneapolis are both<br />

Minneapolis. Both hotels boast great cus<strong>to</strong>mer<br />

service, affordable rates, indoor pools and gym<br />

facilities.<br />

Exhibi<strong>to</strong>r Information<br />

Meet your cus<strong>to</strong>mers in Minneapolis. Exhibiting<br />

at <strong>Railway</strong> Interchange 2011 brings you face<strong>to</strong>-face<br />

with more railroad industry cus<strong>to</strong>mers<br />

than any other rail supply trade show. Your<br />

target audience will be there waiting for you,<br />

with an expected attendance of over 5,000<br />

cus<strong>to</strong>mers <strong>from</strong> all over the rail industry. <strong>Railway</strong><br />

Interchange will be the place <strong>to</strong> market your<br />

products and network with your cus<strong>to</strong>mers.<br />

RSI member exhibi<strong>to</strong>rs can choose <strong>from</strong> over<br />

100,000 square feet of trade show space and<br />

more than 1.5 miles of combined, outdoor, on-<br />

and off-track exhibits. We work <strong>to</strong> make exhibit<br />

space prices affordable for all of our members,<br />

in addition, we will host several events on the<br />

trade show floor <strong>to</strong> keep your cus<strong>to</strong>mers on the<br />

floor meeting with you and seeing your products.<br />

RSI will have applications available online for<br />

indoor and outdoor (on track and off track)<br />

exhibit space by July 1, 2010. There will be<br />

multi-booth discounts. Remember that <strong>to</strong> be<br />

an exhibi<strong>to</strong>r, RSI membership in 2010/2011 is<br />

required. All RSI exhibi<strong>to</strong>rs must be in “good<br />

standing” status through <strong>Railway</strong> Interchange<br />

2011.<br />

Exhibit Space Selection<br />

Exhibi<strong>to</strong>rs wanting <strong>to</strong> be in the fi rst round of<br />

exhibit space assignments must have their<br />

applications completed and postmarked on<br />

or before July 30, 2010. Applications are not<br />

considered until a signed application is turned<br />

in via mail (no email or fax), and a 25% nonrefundable<br />

deposit is received.<br />

All <strong>Railway</strong> Interchange 2011 exhibit space<br />

assignments will be made, whenever possible,<br />

in keeping with the preferences requested by<br />

the exhibi<strong>to</strong>r, based on the availability of a particular<br />

exhibit space. The RSI Program Committee<br />

will try <strong>to</strong> accommodate all exhibi<strong>to</strong>r requests but<br />

reserves the right <strong>to</strong> assign closest booth space<br />

available if conditions warrant.<br />
