Recommended piston fitment: • Close: 0.0020" – 0.0025" Loose: 0.0032" – 0.0045" • Stock crankcases must be bored to accept the larger S&S 4" cylinders • Early S&S 4" bore kits used o-rings to seal the cylinder base. 1999-2006 BIG TWINS S&S ® SUPER STOCK ® 91cc CYLINDER HEADS FOR 4-1/8" BORE ENGINES Cylinder heads shown on this page are replacements for S&S 41/8" bore engines and 124" Hot Set Up Kits. Heads for S&S engines are machined with the S&S head bolt pattern, for use with S&S crankcases. Heads for the 124" Hot Set Up Kit are machined with the stock head bolt pattern, for use with stock crankcases. FEATURES AND BENEFITS • Heads can be decked up to .060" to increase compression • S&S .640" lift valve springs • Stock Harley-Davidson® rocker boxes can be retained if S&S manual compression release or S&S Easy Start cams are used. Must use S&S valve cover gasket kit part #90-4120 with stock rocker covers. This not only benefits our TÜV certified engines and our EPA approved engines, but our performance engines as well! • Since April 1, 2007, these redesigned heads have been installed on all S&S 41/8" bore engines and Hot Set Up Kits. • Replacement heads of the old style are available by special order.
