I would like to talk about RESERVATIONS. Reservations are for the purpose of securing a seat
for the performance. When reservations are made for more than are going to show up for the
performance, it stops others from being able to make theirs. To clarify that, when enough people
make reservations for a large party, it may trigger the early cutoff of the reservation lines.
Then at the time of the performance, we are told in the box office that some of the party can’t
make it. When total reservations reach a certain level, the phone and online reservations are
cut off from accepting reservations. If we had been told ahead of time that the some of the party
of the reservation will not be attending, it may be enough to allow the reservation lines to remain
open longer and allow more people to make reservations. So, it is important that we are
informed in advance of the performance if everyone in the party will not be attending.
We are still working on being able to pay for tickets when the reservation is made online.
What about the phone reservations We are working on that too. For those who make reservations
by phone, the phone message will be sent to the computer and automatically logged in
whereby I can play your message and also see it printed out. This will be a great improvement
and virtually no calls will be missed. The final step will be the automatic creation of the seating
chart. That can actually be done now, but with some readjusting afterwards. It can’t account for
certain seating requests. That’s where the adjustments by me come in. Future improvements
for the box office look promising.
