Honoring our Past
reunion
weekend 2012
on a Cool and breezy Weekend in late
April, nearly 200 Cushing alumni came back to
the school on the hill to remember the good times
they’d had as students. Spring family weekend took
place the same weekend and, as in years past, there
were a variety of activities to choose from throughout
the weekend. Attendees went on campus tours,
heard Headmaster Tracy talk about the State of the
Academy, cheered student and alumni athletes,
participated in classroom demonstrations, and of
course enjoyed the grand celebration on Saturday
evening. In recognition of their 50th reunion, the
Class of 1962 was inducted into the Gold Key Society
on Saturday morning, where they were joined by
members of earlier classes who welcomed them into
the honored group.
Members from the classes of 1947 to 2007 were
on hand to share hugs and memories over glasses
of wine. Toasts were made to both the past and the
future, and reunioners proved that you’re never too
far removed from prom to dance with a sweetheart,
nor too young to reminisce over a high school
yearbook.
