Hypnotism (Will Power - Advanced)<br />

Average Tasks:<br />
• Hypnotize a subject without any focal objects<br />
(i.e. voice and eye contact only)<br />
• Hypnotize a subject during a one-on-one<br />
conversation in a noisy restaurant<br />
Perfect Subject may be influenced to carry<br />
out an order, even after the hypnosis<br />
ends. In addition, one question may<br />
be asked per 10 points of the<br />
hypnotist’s WP<br />

Botch Hypnosis fails<br />
Fumble Hypnosis fails, but subject is aware<br />
of the attempt and may use the<br />

successful WP test.<br />
The GM may wish to make Hypnotism tests in<br />
secret.<br />
Intimidate (Strength or Fellowship - Basic)<br />
Related talents: Menacing +10<br />
Average Tasks:<br />
• Intimidate someone of equal combat power (Str)<br />
• Threaten to inform authorities of a minor<br />
mutation (Fel)<br />
Perfect Opponent obeys commands, and weaker<br />
opponents offer additional gifts or<br />
favours in supplication<br />
Success Opponent does not attack, and weaker<br />
opponents obey commands<br />
Failure Weaker opponents pause for 1 round (or<br />
up to 1 day in a non-combat situation)<br />
Botch Opponent is unaffected<br />
Fumble Opponent is angered, and either attacks<br />
immediately or attempts to deceive the<br />
intimidator<br />
A successful WP test negates the effect of<br />
Intimidation. Roll for each opponent individually.<br />
Opponents who resist Intimidation can only be<br />
influenced by Torture (see below).<br />
Blackmail: when intimidating during a noncombat<br />
encounter, use Fel instead of Str, and<br />
compare social standing & credibility to<br />
determine relevant modifiers.<br />
Lip Reading (Intelligence - Advanced)<br />
Related talents: Excellent Vision +10<br />
Average Tasks:<br />
• Follow a whispered conversation from a distance<br />
of 10 yards or less<br />
• Understand the dying mumblings of a feeble<br />
plague victim<br />
Perfect Every single word is clearly understood,<br />
and accents or nuances may be detected<br />
Success About 75% of the words are understood<br />
