<strong>Accommodations</strong> <strong>Guidelines</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Students</strong> <strong>with</strong> <strong>IEPs</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Students</strong> <strong>with</strong> 504 Plans<br />
Examine schedule to secure appropriate testing location.<br />
Secure test settings similar to the regular educational environment <strong>for</strong> the student.<br />
In<strong>for</strong>m staff, students, <strong>and</strong> parents of testing schedule.<br />
Replace defective equipment.<br />
Provide ‚Testing: Do Not Disturb‛ signs.<br />
On test day<br />
All designated students receive appropriate accommodations.<br />
Record provided accommodations carefully <strong>and</strong> accurately.<br />
Secure substitutes as needed.<br />
After test day<br />
Complete student accommodation in<strong>for</strong>mation on answer sheets (e.g. use of<br />
audiotape, dictation to a proctor, use of computer, etc.).<br />
Return ALL student booklets (including braille <strong>and</strong> enlarged print versions).<br />
Return ALL tapes <strong>and</strong>/or CD recordings.<br />
Collect <strong>and</strong> destroy all scratch paper.<br />
Collect <strong>and</strong> destroy all original transcribed student work.<br />
Permanently delete <strong>and</strong> remove files of all PDE permitted electronically produced<br />
test <strong>for</strong>mats <strong>and</strong> student work.<br />
Return all equipment to appropriate locations.<br />
Schedule make-up tests promptly.<br />
<strong>Students</strong> who take ‚make-up‛ tests receive appropriate accommodations.<br />
Evaluate effectiveness of utilized accommodations.<br />
Record accommodations provided on required <strong>PSSA</strong>, <strong>PSSA</strong>-M, Keystone<br />
documents.<br />
