MEET OUR TRAINER
Dr. John Dunn is a senior engineering consultant at AWR
Corporation and heads up the training program. Dr. Dunn
writes much of the content for AWR’s various training courses,
as well as numerous technical articles and presentations for
industry seminars and symposia. A key area of expertise is
electromagnetic (EM) modeling and simulation for high speed
circuit applications.
Before entering the commercial electronics industry, Dr. Dunn was a professor
of electrical engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder, for 15 years. He
earned his graduate degrees in applied physics from Harvard University, Cambridge,
MA, and his B.A. in physics from Carleton College, Northfield, MN. He is a senior
member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
MICROWAVE OFFICE
RF/Microwave Circuit Design
The Microwave Office design suite is a
comprehensive software solution for designers
of all types of RF and microwave circuits, from
integrated microwave assemblies to monolithic microwave
integrated circuits (MMICs) and everything in between. Renowned
for its intuitive user interface, the unique architecture of Microwave
Office software seamlessly integrates AWR’s powerful, innovative
tools and technologies with application-specific tools from partner
companies to bring high-frequency designs to life quickly and easily.
ANALOG OFFICE
High-Frequency Analog and RFIC Design
AWR’s Analog Office software offers designers
of RFICs and analog ICs an easy-to-use, flexible,
and accurate design environment. The unique
architecture of this software lets engineers control and integrate
best-in-class tools to capture, synthesize, simulate, optimize, lay
out, extract, and verify RFIC and analog designs from the system
level through to final tape-out. Analog Office streamlines designs,
increases your productivity, and helps to get products to market
faster.
VISUAL SYSTEM SIMULATOR
Wireless Communication Systems Design
Visual System Simulator (VSS) is a complete
software suite for today’s complex communication
systems that enables engineers to design the right
system architecture and formulate suitable specifications for each
of the underlying components. VSS is built upon the AWR Unified
Data Model architecture (as is Microwave Office) and therefore
provides seamless system and circuit level co-simulation.
AXIEM
3D Planar EM Analysis
AXIEM 3D planar EM analysis software is a valuable
addition to the AWR Design Environment.
Whether characterizing and optimizing passive
components on RF PCBs, modules, low temperature co-fired
ceramics (LTCCs), MMICs, RFICs, or antennas, AXIEM’s accuracy,
capacity, and speed shorten or even eliminate design cycles, saving
precious time and money.
ANALYST
3D FEM EM Analysis
Analyst is powerful 3D finite element method
(FEM) EM simulation and analysis software that
is seamlessly integrated within the AWR Design
Environment so you can move from circuit concept to full 3D EM
design and verification with a single mouse click. With 3D EM and
circuit design in one integrated workflow, designers spend their
valuable time designing, optimizing, and tuning for performance.
