Our Legal Services
Nobody can go through life these days without needing some kind of
legal advice at one time or another. If you’re buying or selling your
home, for example, you’ll need a conveyancing solicitor to take care of
all the essential paperwork. If you want to make sure that your wishes

Wills
Dying without an up-to-date Will in place means your affairs may take much longer to settle –
sometimes involving otherwise avoidable and often costly court proceedings – bringing even more
worry and anxiety into the lives of your family at an already difficult time.
Not only is a legally drafted Will the best way to make sure your wishes will be carried out to the
letter after you’ve gone, it can also help protect whatever you wish to leave behind from potential

Powers of Attorney (PoA)
A Power of Attorney allows you to appoint someone you trust to take care of your personal,
financial, property or business affairs if you were no longer in a position to do so yourself – if you
were working abroad, for example, or were hospitalised for a lengthy period of time.
Without this legal authorisation in place, not even your closest relative or business partner would
be entitled to act on your behalf. Just think what that could mean if bills needed to be paid or
urgent decisions about your personal welfare had to be made? And as these powers cannot be
granted retrospectively without a lengthy and often costly court application, it’s never too early to
encourage other family members to establish a PoA now as they would be disqualified from doing
so if their mental faculties were to fail later in life.
