On behalf of Chairman, U.P. Jal Nigam (UPJN), the Executive Engineer, Construction
Division, U.P. Jal Nigam, Durgakund, Varanasi invites tenders registered with U.P. Jal Nigam from
experienced contractors for laying of pipe line with appurtenant works under JNNURM in Cis-Varuna
area of Varanasi City as specified in the schedule below and shall be opened by the General Manager
(Peyjal), U.P. Jal Nigam, Varanasi or his authorized representative at 3.30 PM in the office of District
Magistrate Varanasi on the specific date in the presence of intending bidders or their authorized
representatives.

road/lane and disposal of surplus earth and
unserviceable dismantled materials.
Interconnection of newly laid pipe lines with
the existing pipe lines for proper completion
of works, construction of Sluice valve/Scour
valve/Air valve/Fire Hydrant chambers and
other appurtenant works etc. all as per
detailed design/drawings and specification as
given in tender document, including
commissioning, testing of laid pipe lines and
proper maintenance during trial run and
performance period and handing over to
Varanasi JalKal Vibhag, Nagar Nigam for
further maintenance complete including T &
P, labour etc. all complete on TURN- KEY
basis in following water supply zones/Sub
zones in Cis-Varuna area of Varanasi City.
Pipes Specials, Valves and fittings will be
supplied by department free of cost.

Terms and Conditions:-
(A) PURCHASE OF TENDER DOCUMENT.
1. Tender document can be obtained by the eligible contractors from the office of the District
Magistrate, Varanasi (Tel No. 0542-2508585, Fax No. 0542-2502754), Chief Engineer, U.P.
Jal Nigam, Varanasi (Tel. No. 0542-2366065), General Manager (Peyjal), U.P. Jal Nigam,
D64/151A, Madhopur, Sigra, Varanasi (Tel No. 0542-2227440) Executive Engineer,
Construction Division, U.P. Jal Nigam, Block No. 14/1 Kabir Nagar Colony Durgkund,
Varanasi Mobile No. (9473942682) on all working days between 10:00 to 17:00 Hours against
the payment as mentioned as tender cost +VAT (At present 12.5%) agaisnt cash orthrough
Cross Demand Draft of any Nationalized Bank payable at Varanasi and issued in favour of the
Executive Engineer, Construction Division, U.P. Jal Nigam, Bhagawanpur, Varanasi.
2. The tender documents can be obtained by post on bidder’s risk for which Rs. 500.00 shall be
payable extra as postal charges.
3. (a) The tender documents will be sold to the contractors who are registered as Class “A” in U.P.
Jal Nigam, under the appropriate categories as mentioned above for Water Supply Works
(Pipe Laying) or Turnkey Projects (Water Supply)
4. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) as mentioned above must be enclosed with the tender in
the shape of FDR/NSC/CDR of a Nationalised Bank/ post office in separate envelop duly
pledged in the name of Executive Engineer, Construction Division, U.P. Jal Nigam, Block
No. 14/1 Kabir Nagar Colony Durgkund, Varanasi. The earnest money deposit shall be
valid for a period of not less than 90 (Ninety) days from the date of opening of tenders.
5. Tender not accompanied with full EMD shall be rejected. Earnest money exemption certificate
issued by any authority will not acceptable.
6. Tenders will be submitted in all the offices from above the tender are proposed to be sold as
mentioned in Sl No. 1 above on specified date up to 15.00 hrs.

7. General Manager (Peyjal), U.P. Jal Nigam, D-64/151 A Madhopur, Sigra Varanasi
reserves the right to reject any/all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever and his
decision shall be final and binding. No contractor shall have any claim arising out of such
action.
8. In case of holiday is declared on above date, then tenders will be received and opened in next
working day.
