7.3 Specific end use(s)
Coating material as a primer in Floortec PUR Coating System for exterior use and, under Floortec 2C Epoxy Thick Layer LF 834, for
interior use. In combination with Floortec Quartz Sand 1526 also usable as scratch, shrink hole and compensation filler as well as
flow coating. Can also be used for gluing suitable groove profiles or for manual production of grooves.
8. Exposure controls/personal protection
8.1 Control parameters
None.
8.2 Exposure controls
Personal protective equipment
General protective and hygiene measures
Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuff. Immediately remove all contaminated clothing. Wash hands before breaks
and after work. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Respiratory protection
Use suitable respiratory protective device in case of insufficient ventilation. When workers are facing concentrations above the
exposure limit they must use appropriate certified respirators. Half mask with combination filter, class A1P2 minimum, or
breathing mask with outer air supply.
Do not inhale the vapour.
Hand protection
Use protective gloves based on nitrile-rubber. Following notes of the gloves-manufacturer. The choice of a suitable glove is
dependent on the material and other quality characteristics which are different depending on manufacturer. Because the product
is a preparation of several substances, the resistance of the glove materials have to be checked before use. The exact break
trough time has to be found out by the manufactor of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
Eye protection
Use tightly fitting safety glasses.
Body protection
By working with epoxy resins a fitting protective clothing should be worn. To these clothes an additional protective clothing can
be necessary, e. g. aprons, sleeve schooners, overcoats.
By working with the product uncovered skin places have to be avoided also at warm weather.
Additional information about engineering measures
Observe data available of section 7. Provide adequate ventilation. Where reasonably practicable this shoud be achieved by the use
of local exhaust ventilation and good general extraction.
