No food or drink may be removed from the cafeteria. Food and beverages may not be taken to<br />

classrooms or study halls during the school day. <strong>Student</strong>s are expected to eat lunch in the<br />

cafeteria during their scheduled lunch time.<br />

<strong>Student</strong>s will only be permitted in the cafeteria during their scheduled lunch period, or at<br />

the discretion of an administrator.<br />

Halls<br />

In passing between classes, students are encouraged to proceed to the next class in an<br />

orderly manner with a minimum of disturbance. Three minutes are allowed between classes.<br />

Courtesy to fellow students and to staff members and visitors should be shown at all times.<br />

<strong>Student</strong> loitering is prohibited.<br />

Displays of affection are a private matter and will not be allowed in school.<br />

<strong>Student</strong>s should have a written pass from a teacher to move through the halls during<br />

class time. <strong>Student</strong>s are required to sign out on the standard classroom sign-out sheet when<br />

they leave the classroom and to sign in when they return or if they arrive late.<br />

Offices<br />

Offices are a formal place of business and to maintain a professional and positive<br />

environment all students and staff should be on their best behavior in any office. They are also<br />

a place of confidentiality therefore students and staff are not permitted to loiter in offices. All<br />

students and staff are entitled to confidentiality; therefore conversations should wait until they<br />

can be had privately.<br />

Foul language, outbursts, and explosive arguments are prohibited,<br />

<strong>Student</strong>s should have a written pass to enter any office and should sign-in when they<br />

arrive and sign-out upon leaving.<br />

If a student does not have a pre-signed pass from the office, faculty and staff must call the<br />

office to make sure the necessary people are available for the student.<br />

<strong>School</strong> Bus<br />

1. The driver is in charge of the bus at all times; his or her instructions are to be obeyed and<br />

seats may be assigned.<br />

2. Consideration and courtesy should be observed at all times.<br />

3. If a student must cross the highway, he or she must cross in front of the bus.<br />

4. Pick ups will be made only at regular stops; students must be present at stops on time.<br />

5. No smoking, bad language, fighting or changing seats is allowed on the bus.<br />

6. <strong>Student</strong>s found marring or defacing a school bus will pay for the damage and may be<br />

denied use of school bus service.<br />

7. <strong>Student</strong>s staying for period 13 or after school help, activities, or detention are required to<br />

have a bus pass from the staff member supervising them. The pass must be presented to<br />

the driver prior to boarding the bus.<br />

8. At dismissal time, students are to board the bus at the high school, not the elementary<br />

school.<br />

9. No animals allowed on the bus.<br />
