The date is set! Startup Weekend <strong>2013</strong> will be on September 13-15th at Museao. This year we are transitioning to the event being<br />
community led, so we have a great group of people who will be planning, promoting, and making it happen. The biggest way<br />
YOU can help is to spread the word of the event to the people you are in contact with - work, school, groups, friends, etc. Let’s<br />
make it group! The plan is to have an Opening Party again this year - so much fun ahead! We are working on getting information<br />
on the website and eventbrite, but feel free to RSVP and reserve your spot early!<br />

created to meet the early capital needs of university and private ors entrepreneurs. Our organization will assist with bringing to<br />
market exciting ideas generated in university labs and private businesses. Often referred to as “Angel Investing,” this private capital<br />

STUDENT ANGEL CAPITAL GROUP - SACP is a cross-disciplinary, student-managed angel investment fund that allows<br />
undergraduate and graduate students of the University of <strong>Missouri</strong> the opportunity to learn angel and venture capital<br />
investment strategies through first-hand experience of investing in high-growth <strong>Missouri</strong> start-up companies. They are backed<br />
by the Trulaske College of Business and have been endorsed with $50,000 from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.<br />

THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP ALLIANCE is a place for students in the MU Trulaske College of Business to explore the possibilities of a<br />
future in entrepreneurship. MU students compete annually in the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization, (CEO) National Elevator<br />
Pitch Competition; and take part in the MU Venture Idea Competition.<br />

UNIVERSITY CENTER FOR INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP, (UCIE) - UCIE is funded by the U.S. Economic Development<br />
Administration (EDA) as a catalyst to bring a wide variety of entrepreneurial and economic development resources together.<br />
Partnered with the University of <strong>Missouri</strong> Extension and the MU College of Engineering, UCIE provides assistance through<br />
programs such as the <strong>Missouri</strong> Small Business and Technology Development Center (MO SBTDC). In fiscal year 2010, MO SBTDC<br />
staff successfully assisted more than 3,000 clients, resulting in 6,819 jobs created or retained and $514 million in increased sales.<br />

THE OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT AND INDUSTRY RELATIONS (OTMIR) works to identify, assess, protect and<br />
market commercially viable intellectual property developed at the University of <strong>Missouri</strong>. The OTMIR evaluates new technologies,<br />
obtains patent protection where needed, identifies licensees and negotiates all intellectual property agreements.<br />
