The Fresh Rexus is an efficient supply
air terminal device for use with conventional
radiators. The unit functions with singlepanel,
double-panel and triple-panel radiators
mounted on standard suspension brackets
(at least 25 mm from the wall). The unit
offers flexibility regarding placement of the
intake duct. Fresh Rexus meets stringent
requirements for introducing filtered,
preheated air into homes and residential
spaces without creating annoying draughts. A
removable cleaning hatch on the top of
the device facilitates maintenance.

Description
Fresh Rexus is a telescopic supply air
terminal device mounted behind the radiator
between its suspension brackets. The
unit fits most radiator brands. Two units
can be mounted adjacently behind the
same radiator. The unit’s depth is adapted
to standard brackets (based on a min.
recommended distance of 25 mm between
wall and radiator). The unit is made of
galvanised steel and powder coated white
(NCS S0502-Y). All models are available for
radiators of various heights.
Function
Outdoor air enters a vent on the exterior
wall and flows through a duct or drum into
the unit. The air is then forced down to
the base of the radiator, where it passes
through a damper and filter. The air is
heated by the convector plates. The warm,
filtered air then flows through the grille on
the top of the radiator and blends with room
air. A deflector is mounted between the
panels to direct airflow through the radiator.
Cleaning hatch
Types 11, 21, 22 & 33
The wall component for types 11,21,22
and 33 (double panel) is fastened to the
radiator by two forked edges. A rubber strip
forms a tight seal against the wall. The wall
component contains a cleaning hatch on
top and a damper and filter cartridge in its
base. The filter cartridge can easily be pulled
out for cleaning and replacement.
Cleaning
The wall duct can be cleaned through the
removable hatches in the unit’s top and
base. A flexible hose attached to a vacuum
cleaner can be used to clean the intake
channel and vent when necessary.

The supply air terminal device is telescopic,
so the same wall component fits radiators
within one of two height ranges: 300-500
mm or 600-800 mm. The maximum height
is 500 mm or 850 mm, which facilitates
installation even when the intake channel is
placed above the radiator.
Easy Assembly
Mount the radiator brackets in the proper
positions. Extend the unit telescopically to
match the height of the radiator and attach
it to the radiator. Install the deflector.
Mount the radiator on its brackets. The unit
will follow and become fixed between the wall
and radiator. Insert the filter cartridge when
ready for use.

Storm Hood (coastal)
The Fresh storm hood is
advantageous in coastal climates
and areas subject to great wind
exposure (tall buildings). On the
façade, the hood provides weather
protection for intake ducts by
effectively preventing rainwater
penetration and substantially
reducing wind effects. The
storm hood also attenuates
some outdoor noise by covering
the wall aperture.
The hood, made of alu-zinc sheet,
can be lacquered in any colour.

Storm Shield (wind)

The Fresh ”swan neck” intake duct is
intended primarily as an inlet to the air
terminal device that can be concealed under
a window ledge. It can also be cleaned easily
from indoors. The section that forms the
wall duct can be telescopically adjusted as
can the section that connects to the air
terminal device. Also available without a
cleaning hatch.
The interior of the duct is equipped with
sound absorbers that provide excellent noise
reduction. The cleaning hatch is made of
white-lacquered aluminium sheet. The duct
is equipped with mounting holes and tabs for
easy installation.

values are therefore not directly comparable.

In SS 25267, different terms (C;Ctr) are used to account for the
effect of different levels of outdoor noise (SS-EN ISO 717-1). Dn,e,w
+C is used when the sound source is conversational speech, light
auto traffic on residential streets or country roads and train
service. For heavier city traffic, Dn,e,w+Ctr is utilised. The Ctr term
corrects Dn,e,w values for the effect of low-frequency sounds such
as engine noise. The ventilation’s Dn,e,w value should be 10-12 dB
greater than the window’s Rw value.
With two units, the Dn,e,w values should be 3 dB greater.

Installation
1. Mount the brackets at the appropriate
height in relation to the intake duct with
a minimum c-c of 460 mm between the
brackets. Use Sigarth’s Monclac brackets
(25 mm between wall and radiator). If two
units are mounted on the same radiator,
take this into consideration when placing
the brackets.
2. Unpack the radiator and place it face
down. Image 2.
5. Mount the radiator on its brackets.
Ensure the unit seals against the wall.
6. Place the deflectors on the lower edge
between the panels so they seal against
the cartridge holder. Note: On type 33,
the deflector is mounted between panels
21 and 22.
3. Extend the fresh-air unit to the radiator’s
height and lock it in place with the included
plastic plugs. Holes should be plugged in the
same manner. The unit should be installed
with its bowed edge against the radiator’s
base. Hook the unit to the radiator’s grille
(see image 3). Ensure the unit is placed
correctly relative to the intake duct.
7. To insert the filter cartridge, tilt it slightly
downward and then push it inward and
upward until the front edge seals against
the radiator (see image 7).
Ensure the deflectors fit securely against
the unit between the panels. Protect the
unit from dust, paint and other
contaminants during construction.
4. Type 11 units are mounted with the
included distancing strip.
8. Clean/replace the filter when
construction is complete (see image 6).
An allergen filter (accessory) is inserted
with the reinforced side up atop the
standard filter. The damper should
always be left open.
